Watched the first episode in Japanese and I love it but now I might wont be able to watch it in English now. The acting is way better.

I actually knew about this when they made the announcement at RTX 2014. They also mentioned that there are plans to bring the Japanese dub back over here in the States and re-release RWBY with bilingual audio tracks.

It's great that Rooster Teeth is expanding their horizons. RWBY had certainly opened up many opportunities for them. I wish all the best of luck with their Japanese endeavors. ^_^

from the way it sounds ( at least when they talked about it at rtx this past yea) that there is already a pretty decent fan base for rwby and they have quite a few different fan dub versions of it. so i think its awesome that they are getting professional voice actors for rwby over in japan. i personally love rwby a lot and im excited to see that it is still growing

One of the reasons I don't watch RWBY is because it is in English (I know the reason is very stupid), but I'm not alone. My friend himself likes reading the subs and listening Jap. audio. Probably it's because I don't understand the accent very well (Indian here), or maybe our national language, Hindi, is kinda similar to Japanese. I don't know how many people are like me, but I'm positive I'm not alone

I think this is pretty neat. Like, really. I think the show is alright. It's not a favorite. But, hey, it's like Red vs. Blue meets sort of average anime and has the novelty of being produced in the USA by Rooster Teeth. I dig it enough and would love to see it in Japanese, too. Mostly for curiosity's sake.

Oh, is that the official one? I found that before and thought it was a fan dub. A really good fan dub, but still a fan dub. Is it not?

You are correct, just a fan dub. It sounded like you just wanted a sample of what it could be like. Sorry for misunderstanding...

Oh, no, sorry. Yeah, I mean, I did and I found that and I was like, neat! But yeah, I was thinking more about the official one when I said that.

The bigger the fanbase for RWBY the better! Maybe we'll start getting some fanproducts from Japan as well. I want some RWBY nendoroids.

Pretty much this. Also it'll lead to a lot of lewd fan art on pixiv but that's it.

At least Avatar got licensed...

You realize that they do get the mainstream US animated releases?

If there is anyone with that reaction, they are as clueless as anyone who has that reaction to any of the Japanese cheap 3D CGI or flash animated series.

But RWBY isn't anime.
