Have you been to the UI forum thread? 42 pages of complaints and counting. I personally hate it. Might want to chime in there and direct people to this poll as I think it might be a rather effective tool to show just how much people hate the update. Also, I suggest that you add another category, and that is how many people have cancelled there subscriptions due to this update fiasco. I just renewed my yearly subscription so i know I am screwed either way, but from what I have read in that thread, many are taking the option of cancellation. My 2 cents.

It really wouldn't do anything, the CR high ups are ignoring their paid roku user base. It's why I cancelled my auto-renew subscription. Btw I had about a week or two left on it but they immediately downgraded the account to the regular. So yeah I got gyped out of the rest of the month of Aug that I had already paid for.

I tried fighting the good fight already and decided it's a losing battle with corp. heads that don't care. Hell they don't even respond to legitimate questions like WHY WON'T THEY ROLL BACK THE DMN APP? Instead we get corp. doublespeak.

End of the day they are still making mega bucks and could care less about us dedicated consumers. I'm thoroghly disgusted with em.

I have two days left on my subscription. Annual subscriber.
If I am going to have to use a inept UI I might as well use Funimation.

I hate it with a passion!! I voiced my deep deception on both of the roku threads... No answer from CR. I wrote an email to support, they redirected me to the roku thread. I wrote an email to Roku, but they can't do much since it's CR that programmed the new app. I tweet Peter Chernin, the head of the Chernin Group who bought CR and no answer neither. Last thing I did was to cancel my yearly subscription. I'm afraid.there's nothing more I can do if CR doesn't care about their customers and refused to rollback the old app. They'd rather tried fixing a sunken boat instead of taking care of their customers.

So I invite unhappy customers to contact support and request for a refund of the balance of their subscription. The only way for them to take us seriously is to stop giving them money.

I don't really like the new UI as it is now. The reduced functionality, the lack of ease of use, the confusion of how to find a program. But I don't hate it and I don't hate Crunchyroll. But I'm not ready to give up on it so I will wait and see what the updates really look like.

Some observations:

1. Although I dislike the queue and the inability to move to the next episode, I find I do kind of like being able to watch the 'current' episode of a series and then watch the 'current' episode of the next series, and then the next one and so on. It's convenient if I don't want to watch multiple or past episodes in a series. And really, was having to click the back button two or more times to get back to the top level of the queue in order to select the next series really that much "better" than what we have now? Also, even on the old app the pointer to the next episode didn't refresh until you exited out of the app and went back into it.

2. I truly do not fathom the 'design vision' that forces me to rewind every episode I want to watch when I select the series after selecting "Anime" from the menu. Even the episodes I have not watched yet have to be rewound. And yet, if I use the Search, and select the series from the results, the episodes start from the start and do not have to be rewound. Even the ones I've already watched! <-- (that's my brain overheating)

3. When looking for a series under Anime --> Alphabetical, sheesh! Why are these grouped by Number or Letter? If I'm looking for a series starting with the letter "L", why do I have to scroll to it? Why can't these be initially grouped so I can select the letter "L" to display only the series whose names begin with "L". Yes I know if you hold the left arrow button down the scroll will speed up until it'sincrediblyfastandthetitlejustscreamonby, but I can't read them that fast so I am forced to stop to see where I am in the list ('Oh I'm only in the 'G' titles I need to scroll some more').

4. The History. OMG Are you kidding me? Every single separate episode I've watched listed by episode? Why are these grouped by Series? If I've watched episodes 50 to 200 of Bleach you're going to show an icon for each and every episode instead of grouping them under the series Bleach? Oh brother, that's just what Amazon does and it results in a bloated and redundant listing. Surely you can do better?

The layout is kind of wonky, but for me the wonky controls are why I went to Roku and gave the new app one star.
