Do you believe that being optimistic leads to a better, healthier life style?
Stress is unhealthy, an optimist perceives stress differently. Belittling it, or entirely disregarding it. Most likely they do have healthier and acceptable mindsets and go one to lead healthy lives, that is of course, unless they are maimed or incapacitated by contracted disease because of actions chosen based on an optimistic outlook.

Do you think that people who are optimistic tend to be more successful than others in the course of their life time?
That is dependent on the circumstances. Perhaps in a work environment an optimist will perform with alacrity and result, although success and promotion is not always a reward.

Are you a generally optimistic person? If not. Why so?
At which side do you believe to be on? Optimist or pessimist?
How do you cope problems better. Being a optimist or pessimist?

I am inclined to pessimism, but my reasons are for practicality. It is easier to formulate and supplement a contingency plan for worse case and less than optimal scenarios by first anticipating them. Unforeseen disappointment and failure is readily countered. However, I do not allow my pessimism to devolve into unaccountably debilitating inaction, and capitulation. I prefer to be pragmatic and realistic in any given situation.

Do you find that optimistic people tend to have more friends than others?
Sociability is not synonymous with optimism, although I would think it is a positive correlation as optimism may be a desirable trait. I suppose that optimistic friends make excellent support.

Are most of your friends optimistic?
Yes, recklessly so, to the point of disregarding consequence.

Do you think optimistic people have a better understanding of other people's feelings?
Do you think pessimists can be manipulative? Or is it the other way around?

No. Sociability, empathy, and social engineering are not limited to either.

Do you think that optimistic people are the "creative" ones in life?
The sole contributors to creativity? No, artists and thinkers vary.

Do pessimists have a better control of their own emotions?
Stoicism is not limited to pessimist or optimists.

Is there a difference in physical and mental ability between being an optimist and pessimist?
Both come in many different levels of intellectual aptitudes, and various capabilities merited of their physique. Though it seems that education makes one aware and consider the futility of most actions.

Are you happy with the life your are currently living?
While it is better than a child soldier's, or a slave laborer's, and four-fifths of the United States' population. Admittedly, no.

In your OPINION, do you think the world has more optimists or pessimists?
Probably more optimists, otherwise suicide rates would not be as low.

Do you believe rich people are optimists or pessimists?
Depends on the means by which they have procured their wealth.

I like your answers for some odd reason, most likely how you worded it. Oh and this is off topic but, you being from Los Angeles, would you say it's true that there are some people there who are not afraid to punch someones balls and run away? Yeah...I read it somewhere on the internet. Heh heh.

Do you believe that being optimistic leads to a better, healthier life style?
Healthier? Yes. Better? It depends. Being too optimistic will definitely give bad results.
Do you think that people who are optimistic tend to be more successful than others in the course of their life time?
Same as second answer above.
Are you a generally optimistic person? If not. Why so?
No. No particular reason, I just can't see my life turning out nicely no matter what.
Do you find that optimistic people tend to have more friends than others?
I believe so. Optimistic people tend to be more outgoing than pessimistic ones, so naturally making friends should be easier.
Are most of your friends optimistic?
Only few of them are.
Would you prefer to hang out with more optimistic people?
Don't really care either way.
Do you think optimistic people have a better understanding of other people's feelings?
It depends, but usually not.
Do you think that optimistic people are the "creative" ones in life?
Doesn't really matter what they are.
At which side do you believe to be on? Optimist or pessimist?
Already answered this; Pessimistic.
Do pessimists have a better control of their own emotions?
I do not believe emotions are controllable whatsoever.
Do you think pessimists can be manipulative? Or is it the other way around?
Both optimists and pessimists can be manipulative in their own way.
How do you cope problems better. Being a optimist or pessimist?
Life is a pain; whether you're an optimist or pessimist only hell awaits at the end.
Is there a difference in physical and mental ability between being an optimist and pessimist?
Not really in ability, but obviously their ideals are different.
Are you happy with the life your are currently living?
There are great days, there are crap days; usually they're mediocre, more on the bad side.
Have you ever experienced depression?
I'm usually extremely depressed, even when happy.
In your OPINION, do you think the world has more optimists or pessimists?
From my point of view, most tend to be quite optimistic and high on themselves.
Do you believe rich people are optimists or pessimists?
They can easily be either.

Only if one is optimistic and believes that successful escape is possible... or inebriated enough.

According to crime mapping, 505 (average is 460.5 after accounting for other figures) assaults occurred between 8/11/2014 - 8/17/2014 in Los Angeles county, imagine that number with slight deviation for 52 weeks. Yes, most likely an incident like that did occur where the assailant successfully escaped after striking someone in the balls.

The majority of answers to the questions varies. There's a pro and con for either side.

Optimism often leads to people being more happy and hopeful, that may or may not be a good thing. Having too much hope in something leads to false dreams and chances. Always being able to see the good in everything may be a good aspect or thing to have, but still relies on far too much hope into everything. Some things are beyond power regardless of how much hope there is.

Pessimism generally leads to more negative thinking and a lot of times more realistic viewpoints on the world and aspects. Though pessimism can look a lot like a bad thing with negative views, and thoughts, this brings about probably a more less biased feeling about reality than optimism, which looks for the ups.

For me, I'd say Realism and being a realist is the way to go because it reflects things per situations and is assessed by how I think of the world rather than always being associated with one particular type. Realism provides for things that aren't necessarily positive, but isn't the typical negativity that you see, it's how things work.

I'll get around to answering the questions later, for now sleep is all I need.

Do you believe that being optimistic leads to a better, healthier life style?
Yep, in my eyes the more optimistically handle things, the better things turn out.

Do you think that people who are optimistic tend to be more successful than others in the course of their life time?
I guess so. Being pessimistic can block your view of many important things in life and being optimistic would let you see, appreciate, and focus on the best of ones life.

Are you a generally optimistic person? If not. Why so?
At first glance I'm pessimistic but inside I'm pretty optimistic since I realize that despite the worst misfortune in my life, things could always be worse.

Do you find that optimistic people tend to have more friends than others?
I think so since it would make them more out going.

Are most of your friends optimistic?
Eh, so so I guess. My ex-girlfriend was extremely pessimistic and the rest of my friends are average I guess you could say.

Would you prefer to hang out with more optimistic people?
Depends on the person. I'd hate it if they were overly optimistic. I like to see people have things in moderation. A little pessimism and a little optimism makes the world go round in my eyes.

Do you think optimistic people have a better understanding of other people's feelings?
I don't think so. It's sort of the same with pessimism whereas it can block your view of things. Being optimistic can result in being unable to grasp the gravity of what someone is feeling.

Do you think that optimistic people are the "creative" ones in life?
I don't think that creativity is dependent on whether or not you're optimistic. Rather I see it as a modifier to the creativity. A pessimist will be darker in the things that they create while optimists will be lighter.

At which side do you believe to be on? Optimist or pessimist?
Like I said before, everything in moderation. Though if I had to choose, I would say optimist .

Do pessimists have a better control of their own emotions?
Mmm possibly. Being pessimistic could be relatable to being introverted and thus would have a relatively good grasp on concealing their emotions. Woo for self-relation.

Do you think pessimists can be manipulative? Or is it the other way around?
Everyone's got their faults in my eyes. Everyone just wants everyone else to be the same so pessimists will try to bring others down while optimists do just the opposite.

How do you cope problems better. Being a optimist or pessimist?
I've noticed that lashing out at things just makes things worse. If you break a vase, getting angry won't help anything as you'll just lead yourself to break something else. Being optimistic lets you handle things calmly and can help prevent other problems from popping up.

What music do you think optimists listen to?
Something up beat that's for sure. I think that music is a window to one's character. Personally my library perfectly reflects who I am, what I think, and what I stand for. So someone living an upbeat life will listen to music that reflects their character.

What music do you think pessimists listen to?
Flip side of the coin to the previous question. Pessimists would listen to darker music probably things that are more emotional in the sense that they give a vibe of anger or sadness or something along those lines.

Is there a difference in physical and mental ability between being an optimist and pessimist?
Not sure what that really means. If it is directed toward one's disposition, then sure. I think an optimist would keep at things till they got things done while pessimists might give up a little easier or finish the job grudgingly.

Are you happy with the life your are currently living?
Yep. I enjoy my life and recognize that even if I say I have terrible luck, I have great fortune to have been born into the family that I did. Although I look at the world and it makes me a little sad to see that while I'm living a comfortable and happy life, people out there are suffering when we aren't so different in the end.

Have you ever experienced depression?
Not really. The worst I get is melancholy I guess, and that's usually when I'm listening to my music and get lost in my thoughts.

In your OPINION, do you think the world has more optimists or pessimists? (Can greatly be influenced by the community your living in
and what type of media you watch)

Pessimistic for sure. I think that it's one of the reason's we're struggling. It might sound cliché, but it doesn't seem like there's much hope in people anymore. People see all the problems of the world and it brings them down and blinds them to all of the fortune that they have been given.

Do you believe rich people are optimists or pessimists?
Mmm, probably a balance of both. Having a balance would allow them to have accumulated their wealth. Although I suppose it comes down to how they became rich. If they earned it then its a balance, but if they inherited it or something along those lines they'd be more optimistic I guess.

Hoo that was fun, made me curious as to what others think I am. Thanks for posting this thing, I like to think about these kinds of things
