the Mismatched.
Peculiar Joker

Eous's Pov

Eous pretends to think for a while, before holding up the Ace card and flings it to the pile of the Jokers. He didn't like it when people change their minds into something so last minute. He likes playing games sure, but he dislikes fickle minded decisions. This ruins the purpose of the game.

"Nope! I'm good with the first one! Aces shouldn't be fickle minded, or else the Royals will suffer~!" He says, rejecting the idea and shaking his head. Getting a new deck of cards from his pocket, he starts shuffling and rearranging them in random order. He was shuffling it in a breakneck speed, still smiling as his hands nimbly moves, sound of cards slapping against each other and the illusion of the cards moving by themselves are quite a feat.

"Also, the Joker has to speculate everything. Hence, the reason why they aren't part of the deck. They're wild cards of some sort~" He says after he finished shuffling the cards thoroughly.

Hiyori smiled, "Alright! As long as you understand the basics! Shall we start?" Hiyori wiped her hand clean and yawned
I should probably get this over with..

Ines Rousseau
BOSS
As Ines walked into the popular sushi bar, she nodded her head at the head chef and walked to her usual table she claimed as her own. She walked with her usual groove, and did well as to not attract attention. Although, as Ikebukuro streets are filled with talked and nosy gangsters, getting here with ease wasn't as simple.

Sitting down comfortably on her favorite side of the table, she glimpsed at the door and slickly pulled out her iPhone, scrolling and typing without having to glimpse at the screen. Now extracting her attention from the door and to her phone, she waited patiently for her guest, as she was some time early. Its as she said, she hated lateness.

Since she had time before her special guest had to stroll by, she worked on any plans she had remaining so she could fully focus on her meeting today. Today was important, and it couldn't be interrupted.

((I kept on staring at the screen because I'm figuring out how dafq will I do the coding without being lazy))

===Eous had been floating around his room, flicking a glass queen chess piece than bumped onto a knight's wondering if it would be a joke. His attention was called by another gang, a gang seemingly molded after Italian Mafia, which did amused the deity but left him wondering the intentions. He knew the information he needed from his artificial intelligence, and his power to manifest inside technological devices, and knew what does the leader looked like. The other party, however, doesn't. He's pretty much sure no one knows what does he looks like, except his members and few chosen people he let himself to be known of. He was even reluctant to go, but then meeting once wouldn't hurt. Besides, if it didn't go well, then, Eous could play around and make them suffer using his magic. The perks of being a techno deity, technological devices as your assets, spies and eyes and ears. Nothing is an exception.
===So he went to meet the leader, arriving 30 minutes before she arrives, to see if she would show up. Lo and behold, she did. Eous grins as he peered over his shoulder.
==="So you were really serious about the alliance, I'm amused." He says, tone lighthearted with a dash of amusement, "nice meetin' ya, Ines." He grabs the top of the sofa and managed to do a handstand before a back flip, landing on the opposite plush chair with a soft thud, "let's go right on the business, tut tut. Tell me your intentions," he looks thoughtful for a bit, "black queen." He says, smiling.

Ines took a quick glance up before reverting her gaze back to her phone. Her eyebrow quirked in a sort of way that meant she was semi pleased. Still, she didn't clearly show it.

"I am serious with many of the things that I do and accomplish. If you truly did your half of the research on my gang and I, you would know this … Khaeros, is it? Or is that just another alias?," she retorted. She ignored the seeming nickname he gave her, although it sparked a sort of inspiration in her.

"Nonetheless," she spoke up again, setting her beloved phone down, "I appreciate your presence today. As you may already know me, I won't waste any time going through an idiotic introduction of myself, as it would be a pathetic wastage of my time. However, I will remind both you and I the status of my gang, as it has become quite the chat in Ikebukuro. This brings me to my … intentions."

Rousseau leaned back, her demeanor never faltering. Her expression was quite unreadable, so whatever she thought was unpredictable. "My intentions are simple, and easy to understand, and believe me when I say that I hide nothing. I simply ask that in exchange for your gang's business and alliance, I promise the protection and service of Young Guns. Of course, this offer may be refused, but believe when I say you'd be an imbécile to do so."

((motivation down the gutter ;;w;;))

===Eous laughed, thoroughly amused, he grins at her, eyes lighting up in a knowing manner, "oh man," he gasped, "'m sorry, I never thought that you'd take me seriously, a kid looking person as a leader of a unknown gang." He says, smiling.
===Eous smirks, "but dearie we could well function without your gang, we are hidden mostly from others, so even if we stir up trouble, no one's going to suspect it's us." He twirls small amount of his hair, "we may not be that physically strong but," he points to his head, tapping it lightly twice, "we use this to hack our way into everything, we have the protection we needed, either from you or from others, without forging alliance." He takes out a glass black queen piece and a colorful joker from his pocket, setting them down on the table, looking at Ines afterwards.
==="But the efforts wasted in coming here would be shame, and answer your question, yes, it is, we could leave it to the decision to the Fates. "I'd wager my real name and joining the alliance, as well as a single favour from me. Or a wish." He says, drumming his fingers on his chin, "names are important to gain favour. Powerful than you'd think." He tells her, "so, are you willing to stake something and play a simple game with me?"

The woman frowned a bit. He was joking, right? She's met quite some questionable people in the past, but never has she questioned them before having the chance to pass judgement. This person seemed strange and a bit shady, but, perhaps for that reason, she desired his trust and possible companionship. However, this "game" he speaks of, kind of wavers her overall decision.

"A game, you say, eh?" she questions, adjusting her glove. "It's a childish and shady request, and I would hope you're not asking to spite nor make a fool of me. However, if you're being serious, then I just can't seem to refuse," she responded, a certain gleam in her ebony eyes.

Ines leaned forward once again, crossing her legs and propping her chin up with the back of her hand. "So, what are the stakes, hm? I'm not afraid to lose anything."

((OMG not you bro, my motivation of bb coding, it' gone like a bird XDD ))

===Eous turns his body upside down, feet propped up, as his hat falls, "me? Fooling? Well, it seems like you haven't done your research well, but can't blame you, it's hard to figure an enigmatic creature such as myself." He says, looking at her with his mismatched eyes, a sliver of seriousness and borderline mischief can be seen, "this is how I settle things, because being violent is boo-oo-riiinngg~ " He sing songs, before seating properly again. " and games are not childish, you're looking at the wrong way, that's why. If people could just see past the face value, it'll be great."
===Eous smirks, "well, expected as much. Being a leader of that kind of gang takes up a lot of guts to stake bets." He holds up three fingers from his right hand, wiggling them, "I am asking for three stakes, whatever you wish to bet, your call, but must be of equivalent value as mine." He says, propping his elbow against the cool wooden table, "I wager my real name, joining the alliance and a small favour/wish from me, could be anything. Be the most powerful in Ikebukuro? Granted. Have all the intelligence about everything and anything concerning this peculiar town? Granted. Lifetime supply of sushi and tempura? Granted. Anything you wish or ask for, really." His lips curled into a sadistic smile, "or even mass deaths of foes and abhorred creatures."
==="Tell me when you're ready, we'll be playing a game that I chose for this event, since I anticipated you'd see it my way." He says, revealing a deck of cards, looking like a deck of tarrot cards.

Ines Rousseau

Ines tilted her head slightly, amused without actually expressing it. He had a point; games weren't childish when you played them well and actually handle win or loss. And on the other hand, Ines did enjoy games such as poker, black jack or chess. Games that required strategy, not chance.

Leaning back, she nodded her head slightly. "Alright, seems fair. The stakes I offer, and I do apologize in advance if they're not to your liking, are one, protection from Young Guns, whether you do or don't want it, and if you need or want it, call for it. The second, a favor of any kind that does not include the discharge of my gang or the likes. The last, which is quite vague, is status. With that, you can call the shot of popularity, warning, or invisibility, but once again, your call. For all, I give you my word that they all will be fulfilled, as of course, if you hold up your end of the deal."

Rouseeau crossed her legs once more, resting one arm on the table, the other covering the mouth portion of her visage; casual, but valiant. All in all, unreadable.

"So, what're we playing, monsieur?"

===Eous examines the stakes offered thoughtfully, looking a bit dubious. He considers them a little shallow compared to his, but he doubts this woman even knows how powerful his name and wish would be. How could she, when she doesn't even know that he is anything but ordinary? He decided to raise her stake higher.
==="I'm suspicious, your stakes seems a little shallow for the ones I've offered. Especially the status. I could do that myself, if I'd like. I prefer anonymity. And the second favor, care to elaborate 'the likes' you speak off?" Eous says, shuffling the cards at a breakneck speed, while looking at Ines, a brow raised, "Or would you rather have it the winner decides his rewards? I'm quite fine with that."
===He looks at the cards after shuffling them and spreading them all out, back facing them, various of letters and numbers adorning them. Eous fishes out pens and pieces of papers and hands slides a piece of paper and pen to Ines, grinning, "we'll be playing riddles. Let's see how much we see past its face value." He says, smiling, "we'd play after the stakes are properly settled, of course." 'She seems to be more interesting than I thought. Of course, the fate is pre determined, let us see how Fates work. Knowing them, it will not turn in to my favor, I haven't offered anything valuable yet... Shame.'

Ines thought for a moment, silently agreeing with the person before her.

He makes a good point... and it's like père always used to say: placer vos victoires et de défaites quand le destin se joue. Damn, I miss the old man.

"Alright, winner gets to declare what he/she desires. Don't get cocky on me, though. I may not look like much, but Rousseau knows her way around," she remarks, exhaling in silent excitement.

"So, this game, tell me about it. I most certainly require to acknowlegde the rules, gameplay, and who exactly I'm playing with. After all, I should be able to tell that you can hold up your end of the bargain, no? No matter how shady you are, I can still trust thee?"
Posted 2/2/15

==="Neither will you. You are also not permitted to boast around, let's be fair hmm?" Eous says, nodding his head, "alright then, that will be yours to stake. I have mine."
===He spreads the cards, picking three of them of them, the back facing him. "This would be a riddle contest. The rules are simple; answer three of them within the time span of 2 minutes, get more if desired. All of them does not have any puny answers. They're not the simple ones I'm afraid." He says, voicing lacking apologetic tone, "shall we begin?" He says, pulling an hourglass from his pockets. "The one you're playing is a being that loves games." He replies, smiling wryly, "of course I will, I came from a line that upholds their words. Accusing me of something like that seems like offending me." He laughs, making it lighthearted but he is actually dead serious.

AERITH THE HANGED MAN // HYPERION ALTAIR
"Ah, Natalia, welcome back!" Simon roared outside, greeting Natalia as she walked in. She had a messenger bag swung over her shoulder. The silver haired dame stood outside, having a casual conversation in Russian with the tall fellow. Natalia was unsure herself how she became one of Simon's favorite customers. It may be because she was familiar with his language. But, she wasn't completely fluent in Russian, so the conversations dropped pretty quickly.

Taking a seat, she ordered some tempura and tea, and slid out a laptop from her messenger bag, and set it on the table she sat in. She cracked her knuckles, and began typing away. It appeared she was coding something, though any by-passer would look at the screen and see a series of numbers and letters sprawling hastily across it. What she was really doing is casually hacking through a database in public. This spurred the moment when she found out someone online was cheating on a game they were playing with Natalia. Natalia was rather angered by the whole thing. She plotted revenge and wanted to terminate whatever torrent/program person was using to cheat.

But she wore a friendly smile as she typed away. She even said hello to Simon as he walked back inside to check on the customers.

Luna walked into the bar and took a seat without ordering anything. His gaze was jumping between everyone else at the bar, He didn't trust anyone as of yet so he was cautious. He finally ceased his endless barrage of silent inquiries and sat back to relax. "pff how tedious i probably should stop doing borderline legal things near the cops"
