Astennu hears the thumping sounds against the floor, signalling that there are people coming in. He ignores them and just minds his own thing, finding it unnecessary to fuss over it, because he isn't in England, and this is not a private property, and has no intention of interacting with them for he finds no reason to do so.

Thoth obviously realized that a lad is staring at them, for the second time, and the god could tell that there is curiousity in the other lad's eyes.

Asten, the lad with pink hair color kept on staring at you; perhaps you should indulge yourselves in a conversation? It wouldn't hurt to make friends now, would it?

Astennu turns to look at this lad the god was talking about. Indeed, he has a strange hair color, so do he, so he can't really judge. He looks at him briefly, oceanic blue eyes meeting gold eyes before Astennu turns away, pushing some of his wet hair backwards, parting his fringe into half. He looks much younger without the kohl outlining his eyes.

He swims slightly away from him, refusing the thought of having a conversation with him because he doesn't want any friends from a public bathing house.

"Leave him be, I have no intention of befriending people here. Nor talk to them," he murmurs so that no one could hear him, and sits up from his place, reaching for his wooden bucket nearby.

A small smirk tugs on Lucel's lips as the male moved further away. "Ah, I guess I was caught staring. I wonder, did I make him uncomfortable?" Instead of feeling embarrassed or ashamed, Lucel found the thought amusing. The tan Egyptian, despite his young appearance, had a larger, more intimidating looking build than Lucel. The idea of Lucel's blatant stares unnerving such a man was laughable. If Lucel took on a different appearance, perhaps that of an old, snooty looking man, the action would've been unnervingly creepy. This was not the case as the pink-headed male was considered "attractive", making things even more ironic. Usually, one would feel flattered to be checked out by him. This was clearly not one of the cases seeing how 1. they were both guys and 2. they were practically naked in a public bath house. Lucel, finding no shame in doing anything, was clearly unaffected by the circumstances.

"There's no way that's natural." Lucel thought as his eyes drifted to the male's snow locks. The color remained feathery white even when damp in water, contrasting greatly against the stranger's caramel skin. It wasn't just that coloring which drew Lucel's attention however, but his deep-set eyes which cast shadows on his cerulean irises. They reminded the strawberry blonde of lapis lazulis.

"Shame. Leaving already?" Lucel says as the stranger pulled himself out of the hot springs. Already knowing that the man had long caught him staring, Lucel figured it wouldn't hurt to continue. He slid into the water, but keeping his back towards the hot springs. His arms prop onto the flooring as he raises a brow at the stranger. "He'll probably ignore me anyways." Lucel figured, keeping a steady eye at the Egyptian.

'Looks like the lad is talking to you, Asten. You should answer him, you're a man ruled by logic and reason, are you not? Would the reason 'it'll be impolite to ignore a person who would want to spark a conversation' be unreasonable?

The god asks him inside his head, and Astennu ponders what he had said for a minute or so before resigning to the god's attempt in making him socialize while he's here in Japan. He's only a tourist, and don't need more people to be his 'friend' because he's fine by having few. The god thinks otherwise.

"I'm afraid not, I merely taking my wooden bucket, young man. " He addressed the pink haired lad but did not look at him as he puts the said bucket beside him, not on the water but on the concrete ground. He arches his back backwards, finally taking a look at the lad again in his peripheral vision before looking in front once more. He wishes silently for the lad to stop talking, just leave him alone because heck, his cousin isn't here yet. Probably holed up in their shared apartment, painting like mad and forgetting their appointment. How inconvenient.

For a second, surprise crossed Lucel's face. His eyes widening just a tad before blinking way the shock and the fogginess which formed due to his contacts. Then came a poorly concealed chuckle which caught the attention of Hiroshi who had been quarreling with the girls. Lucel waved his hand, mentally shoving away his friend's interest. He had found something far more interesting now.

"My Gd, who actually talks like that nowadays?" Lucel chuckled to himself, keeping his voice below a mutter. Entertained as he was, he had no intentions of offending the stranger. "Young man? That's funny." He says, "You seem no older than myself and yet you talk like a sage." The tease was obvious in his voice, and it was barely bother line offensive. Lucel tilted his head, just waiting for another reaction. The most someone tries to disinterest them self in him, the harder he tries. It was a bad habit still developing. The saying "curiosity kills the cat" has yet to apply its rules on the pink head.

"Me apparently, " Astennu deadpans, submerging himself in the water and resurfaced few seconds after, "mother and father told me it would be best if I know how to speak in archaic English. However, I still know how to speak in modern language and yes, I might be slightly older than you but by no means I should on how people speak today. Father wishes me to adopt the elegance of the previous eras. " He tells him, pausing for a while before speaking once more. "Apologies, I spoke too much. I shall leave you with alone. Pardon me. " He says, standing up, revealing his glorious body, the unspeakable wrapped tightly with the towel around his waist, riding low on his pelvic bones. He bends down and picks up his things before getting out of the water, wondering where the hell did his cousin go.

'Asten, you disappoint me, must you really end the conversation that's going smoothly? Why are you such a party pooper? Amaris and Francois did not raise you that way.'

The god chides him a little bit, with Astennu shrugging his shoulders lightly, 'I apologize my lord. He and I aren't in the same era; he's modern and I'm past. We simply don't match well together. And my lord, if I may, this is not my will. It is yours. Forgive my incompetence but I dislike making new acquaintances. I prefer my constant companions over them.' He replies, with the constant companion being with the books he loves, especially history books and mythologies.

((implying something here; towels, towels, ohohoho~ *gets hit with Astennu's shabti* Slr btw, went to Church earlier! ))

( GDI ASTENNU DONT TEMPT MY SALMON PLAYBOY ///gets hit )

Lucel's smile remained, teasing but genuine. It was hard to tell what game he was playing when his tone of voice and gaze contradicted each other greatly. His voice held a musing tone where as his attention was undivided. He seemed genuinely interested in what the stranger was saying, despite everything being small talk. "You're funny." He says finally, as though coming to a conclusion to everything the Egyptian had said. "And I hope I didn't offend you. Personally, I liked the way you talk." Because it's so different from others. He kept the last thought to himself.

"Oh." was the sound that left Lucel's mouth when the male got up, revealing the dips and curves of his body. For a moment once more, he was speechless and left shamelessly shaming at the contours of the male's butt, concealed by fabric. Crossing his arms, Lucel grinned before waving. "Bye bye." He paused before calling out brashly, "Oh and hey! I'm interested in you. If you don't mind, I think we should hang out some time!"

His voice carried seeing how the Egyptian had already gotten up with his back towards Lucel. The male's proclamation was loud enough to be heard by his friends behind him, thus bringing out a chorus of "Huuuh?"

"Lucel! Don't go harassing strangers, you jerk!" Nachi scolded in the background.

Even with the protests behind him, Lucel kept an inviting smile on his face. (smile more like smirk.)

Astennu stops in his tracks and turns around to face the guy, with his shamelessly calling him out. Thoth quietly snickers as Astennu mentally tells him to shut up, looking at him as if he's mad. His expression was the cross over of 'what the--?' and 'is this guy for real?' Because quite honestly, nobody did this kind of stunt to him. And he finds out that he this is embarrassing.

"Pardon? Excuse me but we do not know each others' name." 'And I'm not planning on giving you my name, peculiar stranger' was left unsaid as a frown settles on his face as he thinks about the offer before giving his reply. "I do mind and I am not interested. Sorry not sorry. " He flat out rejects the other male, not sugar coating his words because it's better to be blunt than to flatter people with fancy lies and words.

That and truth to be told, he doesn't know how to deal with this kind of situation. (And he's not admitting it because these situations cannot be read in textbooks. Nor in his book that tells people to socialize. Yes, his brother got fed up with him being a loner and gave it to him in his 13th birthday)

((OOOhhh~ now I'm intrigued to see the playboy side~ Asten's such a tsundere~ XD ))

( omfg Astennu is too cute I cant-- )
The look given was like hitting jackpot for someone like Lucel. He had seen this expression many times but seeing it on a stern looking stranger made it all the better. "How cute. He can still keep his composure it seems." The male's blunt words did not faze him - It was expected. At most, Lucel felt fairly surprised that his charm did not seem to affect the man. He was never proud of his smooth, porcelain complexion or his well sculpted face until he realized that flirting was a thing and seduction was just a game.

"That's easy." Lucel replies, clicking his tongue. "You heard it from them." He gestures at his friends behind him, two who are face palming and one whose rolling her eyes. "I'm Lucel Aelrot Lanister. I think a name exchange is fair, even though you mind. It's a shame really." He shrugs his shoulders in a careless manner before blinking to defog his vision. "Because that won't really stop me from being interested. I don't think the rule 'knowing someone or something to be curious about it' applies either. It's your coloring that I'm interested in. I mean come on," He goes on, shamelessly blabbering. "There's no way that hair color is natural right?" By now, Lucel is borderline sneering; fifty percent trying to lure the stranger into some sort of discussion (heated or not) and fifty percent because the information would be useful for someone who constantly had to bleach his hair.

Thoth decides to root for the other lad, seeing his intention of luring his host into conversing with him further, even if this could be a bit awkward, with little indecency because the both of them are wearing towels wrapped around their waists and Astennu's standing there, and seems like he had forgotten that he could sit down and talk properly with the other guy.

Astennu crosses his arms, almost looking like he's glaring at Lucel. Suppose that it would be impolite to not tell his name because the pink haired teen gave his, but he's not really obliged to do so. However, he doesn't want to come off as rude because he's a well mannered man hailing from families serving gods for millennia, and he doesn't want to ruin the reputation of these families because he refused to tell someone a trivial information. Begrudgingly, he tells him his name.

"Astennu Khalfani M. Caduceus." He scowls as he slicks back the middle part of his snow colored fringe. "The audacity... My hair is natural, mister Lucel, and I refrain from using those atrocious products they sell in the market." He then narrows his eyes in suspicion. "What do you hope to gain from this information?"

'Astennu, stop being paranoid. No one will set your pretty hair on fire. He might have taken a fancy upon your unusual, but not strange, hair. Lucel bears no ill intent towards to your pretty hair. 'Thoth tells him, making him feel like the god is reprimanding a child. Astennu ignores this belittling from the god and focuses on Lucel.

((Yes, he's so cute as a tsun tsun and darling, stop being paranoid, we won't set your pretty pretty hair on fire~))

Like getting a tug on a fishing line, Lucel was intrigued to hear him oblige in answering. This lead to the hint that Astennu was a rather well-mannered man, further tempting the salmon head into breaking down those polite, yet cold walls. "What a mouthful." Lucel comments, unaffected by the glares. If anything, he welcomed being scrutinized by such lovely sapphire orbs. Despite having blue eyes himself, Lucel never did like the sight of them on himself.

He chuckles before leaning his body forward, his chin now resting on his arms. He had not submerge completely into the spring, yet small droplets of water had already formed on his pale arms and hair. "Well unlike you, Astennu, not everyone has white hair. Unless you find me some other way to change my hair color, then I'm afraid I'm stuck with these atrocious products." Just saying the word atrocious made Lucel snicker softly.

At Astennu's later question, Lucel could only look thoughtful before answering. "Because I want to see your reactions." He thought, but that would defeat the whole purpose as to why he started the conversation in the first place. Instead, taking the Egyption by surprise, Lucel apologizes. "I'm really sorry you know? I'm sure you must hate me for taking up so much of your time, but I mean what I say. I am interested in you and if possible, I still want us to be friends. This is probably strange coming from a stranger from the bath house, no?" He smiles apologetically at the end. Later then, reminded of worse situations. For Lucel, this was a familiar, if not fairly average scenario in his life.

"Eventually they'll all have. When people become old." He replies, ignoring the slight taunting from the way he described those products. His face was blank and not buying the words that he uses to rile him up.

When Lucel apologized, Astennu arches a fine brow, calm, in contrast of his previous demeanor. "Is that so? Let me get this straight then, what do you need from me? Methinks that a simple 'I'm interested' wouldn't define your reason; I'm sure you have another one hidden in your sleeves. A motive perhaps?" He asks in a nonchalant manner, but his posture says otherwise. He demands to be answered, his authoritative aura surrounding leaking out from his body.

"Also, hate is a strong word, Lucel, dislike would be more appropriate." He remarks as an after thought, siting down the Japanese way, and puts his hands on his lap, back straightened. "Friends? I'm not interested. Perhaps my cousin would but not me. Acquaintances could be, given on how my lord taken up a fancy on you." He tells him, looking around and frowning that his cousin isn't here yet. He left his phone in the other room, and he can't leave until the conversation is over. Damn etiquette.

"Pfff, first he says he dislikes me and then he sits himself down to talk. How cute." Lucel thought. "I don't think there'll be any point in dying my hair when I turn that old." He says this with a dry laugh, mostly forced because the thought of aging was one he did not like to talk about. Death had always scared the male, as childish as it may seem.

The stance Astennu took on only peaked Lucel's interest further. They bled with the words "answer me" giving the pinklette little to no choice. "What makes you think I have a motive?" Lucel answers with a question, actually confused. "There isn't really anything I want from you. I just find your replies amusing." He smiles before blinking once more. The dampness in the onsen was starting to irritate the contacts in his eyes.

"And what exactly do you mean by 'my lord'?" Lucel knitted his brows, wondering who else could've taken interest on him. He glanced around, spying no one else that seemed in relation to Astennu. "I mean, I'm flattered but I don't quite get the joke here." He adds to be polite. Behind him, he could hear Hiroshi's whispers. He can't make out the words but figures it's the same gossip as usual.

"Lucel's talking to another stranger again? Man, isn't he a bit too open? Foreigners are weird."
"How does he even do that? Isn't it awkward?"
"I don't know. I pity the stranger. I have no idea how he manages to make them stay."

Astennu looks like he doesn't believe him, his face morphs into one of his infamous stern looks. "... You are a fool for thinking one second that people don't have motive for their actions. They would always have, because that's logic. There will always be reasons or logic behind every actions. It's slightly akin to Isaac Newton's law of motion. And I quote, 'for every action, there is equal and opposite reaction'." He tells him, and it dawns upon him on what he had said. He shouldn't say that. He looks a bit apprehensive and as if he's caught red handed for stealing the last cookie in the cookie jar. He suppress the emotions, to keep them from leaking. He cannot let him know about the god. It's too dangerous.

"Someone... someone important. He's here but you cannot see him. Forget what I said." He says, Thoth reassuring him that he's being paranoid for no reason again and as if the monsters who attack them now that their gods has been retreated back to hiding.

( lolol I went to bed before I read this ;v; )

The gold in Lucel's eyes twinkled at the quote. He, of all people, knew it best and in his own, strange little world, Lucel lived by those words. Humans, he came to realize, apply to the law but no human ever with the same reaction. Some similar but always there were the same. It was fascinating and hooked the male into finding more "uncommon" reactions. This was the first time he's interacted with an Egyptian. "Socializing" is his test run and Astennu is his experiment.

"Then maybe I'm a fool." Lucel states clearly. He sounded sure of himself, and that sureness may or may not have came from the offensive feelings he felt. "I don't want anything from you. I don't even know you, but if you want to put things that way then you could say I want to know about you." He couldn't help sounding more aggravated as he spoke. Astennu's skeptical reactions were cute but the accusations were getting annoying.

Suddenly, the steadiness in Astennu's voice fails, catching Lucel's attention. "Huh? Looks like he doesn't want to talk about it." He knew, but that just made him want to pry in further. "He's here but I cannot see him. Pff, don't tell me he's invisible like God." Lucel blinks again before finally pulling himself up.

"I can't do this." He mutters, rubbing his left eye. "Hold on. I'm going to change my contacts." He says to both his friends who had lost slight interest and to Astennu. He secures his towel around himself and walks briskly towards the changing room. As he pasts Astennu, he gave a stern, "Don't go anywhere, okay? We aren't done talking." before rushing to take his contacts off. While he was doing so, he could only wonder if the male was well-mannered (and patient. very patient) enough to stay.
