Discuss when you had your bike stolen. How old were you? How did you feel? What kind of bike was it? Did you ever get your bike back?

I was 6 when I had my bike stolen. Saw the kid riding it a couple days later.

No. I had my bike vandalized once. I still hold a grudge against him. Because I know that he's still that kind of person.

Nope I had a bike with a Spiderman 3 Logo all over so I guess that's why nobody took it.

No, but like a previous post said..I had it vandalized. I usually ride my bike to classes on campus and some douche must've thought it would be funny to slash my tires and take my seat.

I did have one of those motorcycle looking bikes that were really heavy, I guess they gave up on stealing it since they just took the rear wheel

We kept all of our bikes chained and locked to the fence in our yard. I believe I was in middle school around the time a new pawn shop opened up nearby. Someone cut/broke the lock/chain and took all of our bikes (five of them).

We're pretty sure someone sold them off to the pawn shop. It just fueled my dislike for people further.

My bike, MTG cards, Pokemon cards, money... money... money... a lot of money, my calculator, iPod, a brand new PS2 even before I got it back to my place to set it up, my original Game Boy, it's carrier, and about twenty or so video games over the years. In every situation, I was a bit more than peeved. With the exception of the iPod, everything was stolen while I lived in South Florida. Never got any of it back. Since most of these thefts occurred as a child, I was forced to deal with the parents rather than with their thieving brats. Not only did they refuse to believe me, one threated to call the cops, one actually did call the cops, and one told me she'd blacken my eye if I ever came back. The bike, specifically, was old and somewhat oversized. Not sure what sort of bike it was, probably something from the early 80s, but it definitely had a look to it that showed its age compared to what everyone else rode. The one really nice thing about it was the thick, extremely comfortable seat. Sigh...

You know, it's difficult to talk/type about having one thing stolen from you without mentioning everything else along with it.

I used my brother's BMX bike but one day our cousin who lived with us borrowed it to go to 7-11 and got it stolen . Luckily the economy wasn't shit back then, so, I got another bike the same day. Yeah, My kid years were awesome since money wasn't a problem for my family, but once the economy went to crap life got worse .
