Never a bike, but I've had my skate board stolen, and then returned split in two pieces.

I've also had a long board stolen. I seem to trust people when they say "can I borrow that for a sec?"

Always kept my bike safe, but once a kid who used to always steal my snowman's head in winter tried to steal it and he tried to steal it, I snatched it back off him and give him a good telling off. I was like 12 and he was like 10.

Story of my life. Every time a friend comes over or a cousin they always try to use my skateboard and end up damaging it because skateboarding is EXTREMELY uncommon in my area of England. In the end someone stole two of my skateboards when I moved house.

I just rode my bike to this gamestop that's inside a mall to pick up Xillia 2 and PSN cards for sword art online game, And while I was locking up my bike I noticed this big cholo looking motherfk*r staring at my bike & me from above, I immediately knew what he was up to but I carry multiple locks and made sure that my bike was secure, and when I came out of the mall what do you know... My U-Lock's rubber that protects the bike from getting scratched was all cut up and beat but the metal itself was not touched .

Man, Using a $600+ bike to get around is a pain because I have to carry multiple chains to protect it from getting stolen since expensive bikes are highly likely to attract thieves.

When I was in 5th grade, there was a girl who lived across the street from me. She was nice to me for awhile. Eventually, I came to realize she had a crush on me. While she, came to realize her feelings were not reciprocated. She grew hostile, and then when I was out riding my bike one day BAM! She beats me up and steals my bike.
Afterwards, my guy friends and I did some reconnaissance. We saw my bike inside her best friend's house down the road. But my dad said that since we had got the bike second-hand, we had no recipts or serial numbers so there was no proof so the police wouldn't do anything. So I never got it back.

I had this sweet, high-end bike when I was around 10 or 11. One day, it was left outside, next morning, it was gone. After looking around the neighborhood a bit, I saw another one of the kids riding it. What followed next would be considered one of the most tragic events in human history.

Yes, back in the 90s, but whatever! I can just get a bamboo and another chromoly bike, anytime.
