I would probably open up my own social gaming arena. I would have it stocked with the latest consoles, a bunch of gaming PCs, nice modern decoration, a bar and so on. It would also have classic arcade machines, a bowling alley, air hockey, pool tables. Place would be bitchin'

Of course, more personally, I would get out of the poverty trap and sort myself out. Once I have done that I would get myself a nice modest place to live for a while, just until I had settled properly into the self-employed line of work.

Beyond that, who knows. I would always remain liberal in my views though, I wouldn't let the money go to my head.

Honestly at this point, I may just move to Japan, find some really awesome people and a translator, start an animation studio, and work on some really cool projects.

OR I'll work on indy film projects in the states.

OR find people in the states with some awesome ideas and start a video game company.

OR start a skateboard company.

The first and third options would probably make me the happiest.

Either way I would DEFINITELY open up an arcade with all the fighting games you could shake a fist at.

If i was given all that money but still had to work, i would probably open up a pawn shop. I always thought owing one of those would be pretty cool and that would be really fun.

Either; keep it to myself, and not work(sorry, but no way I'm working if I had that much money. Don't even feel like working as a poor person, much less as a rich one.)
or invest it into a Virtual Reality program of sorts, then escape from this ugly world once and for all.

I'd probably go with the first one, since I don't trust humans, so giving them my money for a project that may not come true is too much.

I always dreamt of winning the mega millions lottery. But this is ok too. Even if did get handed this BIG load of cash I always planned to work in (hopefully) the engineering field.

Anyways I would:
buy a cheap car that works ( my dad can fix it up since he knows about cars)
help my parents finish pay the house
put some away to pay for graduate school ( Masters and PHD)
Get whats left of that and put 3/4 of it into the bank for safe keeping/ pay for future needs
the rest goes into my Otaku hobbies ( buying Anime, importing Anime figures/games)

Yes im an asshole that won't give to charity

I would use the money to start a non for profit Japanese-american cross culture organization. It would have schools in america and japan. These schools would have language classes, culture workshops, and facilitate traveling between the two nations.

Other than the schools, the organization would promote getting to know both cultures better, many american's don't have a clue about Japanese culture.

I would pursue making videos and writing full time.

$100 million could do a lot, especially if I invest it to keep the money running and back into projects. I would still probably keep a day job though, so I wouldn't get too lazy.

my dream has always been to have my own game dev team uprising, publishing independently under our own name and hiring people who think outside of the box with the main idea of creating new and unique games that will impact the gaming industry and fans. our target wouldn't be console gaming but instead pc, our main focus being indie games that bring forth new ideas and mechanics all wrapped up in beautiful art direction.

was that a mouthful? basically i want to be a graphic artist and i want to make games with my own team. i want to bring my own content thoughts and ideas to the world in any form really; video games, art, photography, writing... i'm interested in anything to do with the arts/creating/storytelling in hopes of doing something innovating

i could easily pour 100 mil into creative industries

i also want to use a lot of my money to donate and help people in need... i want to pour millions into the research of mental illness and helping those with it. i just want to give all that i can to the world in every aspect to be honest.. if only i had the funds

Lots of things I could do...

Though it would probably have to be spent on setting up my own design studio and workshop.
Dunno where it would be, I'd probably shoot for Japan and kill two birds with one stone

Basically to hire great people (maybe even my friends studying design with me - they're all up to scratch :P), get a great location with great equipment. Then start solving problems, as designers do!

Work towards helping those in need would be a major part of the studio, not just making cool phone straps and funky bicycles. For example, my planned final project for next year is to build a vertical take off drone that is capable of level flight with wings - for conservation work, ultra fast surveying of disaster areas and then pinpoint delivery of aid supplies to areas inaccessible by road

become a writer/painter/singer/actor/photographer... etc. all the artistic fields...

for me... there is really no difference between being a writer and being a singer... I can't differentiate between sub-components of the arts fields.

like... singing a song can be telling a story, telling a story is part of writing... emotions are required in singing and writing. I can't differentiate the two... I got to have both, it's what i'm saying. like I can't be a writer only, I have to be a writer and more.

there are so many different ways to express a story... words are the most easily understood. but paintings are wonderful. animation/film is even better... with sounds and music.

With $100 million, I could do all of these... and just drown in my creative world...
