Those damned spiders, always holding windows shut just to piss people off. Anyway, the secret is to use peanut butter. I'd explain how it works, but the spiders are listening.

It's the oil in the peanut butter, which likely can be achieved with any oil. Sorry I just exposed your secret to the spider kingdom. lol

Or you can always make a montage of funny failed attempts, put it on youtube and profit.

Traitor! You've doomed us all to suffer the wrath of the arachnid menace! Forever shall our windows be sealed, and all because of your carelessness!

I would honestly check for spiders, because my windows are spider nests.

Oh noes!

My windows rarely get opened anymore since the outside screens are uneven/have small holes where bugs constantly come through. Really would enjoy fresh air inside but that will wait until winter lol

Well, now none of our windows will open ever again. You didn't just explain how peanut butter helps, you went on ahead and eliminated every single oil simultaneously. Why, damn you! Why?!!!!!

I generally keep my windows closed for the same reason: to keep bugs, birds, and bats out. I air out the house every now and again to keep the rooms from getting stale, but beyond that I primarily rely upon a central heating/cooling unit and fans to circulate my air and regulate my temperature.

I really love fresh air and sunlight, it keeps me happy and not feeling icky breathing in dust particles and pet hair.

Not every oil my dear friend....not every oil. Lemon essential oil spritzed around areas you don't want spiders helps repel them..they don't like the taste of citrus (apparently they can taste with their legs too somehow)

I infiltrated their HQ to learn this data.

I like fresh air, but it's grey skies and rain which keep me happy. And that means keeping the windows shut. In fact, the sight of raindrops going down a window is itself pretty calming for me.
