Anohana, I can't understand why but the atmosphere and music played out like a symphony- I can rarely see any anime that could do that to me again.

Hunter x Hunter and FMAB
Both of them got me to cry at certain times and cheer on the main characters. They are definitely must watches.

Without a doubt ef: A Tale of Memories heck just the voice mail scene alone had me flow through a range of emotions, but overall it's definitely been the one that's stuck with me the most emotionally.

Hunter x Hunter, specifically episode 135. This episode was the hallmark of the series, imo.
I've connected with all of the characters before the Chimera Ants arc... but I never thought this series was going to become such an emotional rollercoaster... so was caught a bit off guard...

From the moment the character Komugi was introduced to the series, I instantly connected with this character. I love her characterisation. She has a small role in the anime, yet she is the trigger of so many events during the Chimera Ants Arc. And her character alone changed the personality of another character completely.

and episode 135 just has so many messages in one episode.

like, this character komugi probably never had the chance to use her board game ability to the maximum level, not until she met meruem who was able to challenge her to the maximum. and nobody in her life really appreciate her talents... they just see her talents as a mean of attaining financial securities, while Meruem wants to play Gungi with her because he is genuinely interested in challenging her talents and not because of money or social status. that's why she cried halfway during the first game in episode 135, I assume.
so in a way, it's about meeting someone... who can stand on your wavelength... and at the same time appreciate you for who you are.

Oh, we understand. On a related note, a Clannad post randomly appeared the front page of imgur today- http://imgur.com/gallery/xhaL7v4 everyone was getting emotional in the comment section.
