Saw this was a closed thread... Thought to reopen it again since its been three years. Plenty of time for more parents to meet. So as the title says how did your parents meet? The first encounter mine had, there wasn't much talking more ackwardness. My dad was creeping on my mom at this party she crashed, just sat at her table and stared at her, she left quickly after. Two yrs later they meet again then two years later met again at a club. My dad was a Michael Jackson fanatic who dressed as Michael and went by Michael, my mom was a party girl. I don't understand the attraction. They went out, got married in Reno with Elvis as their priest that married them.

My parents met each other at school. They were high school sweethearts and they've been together for 28 years.

AA. Brilliant place to meet, and both met their next love interest at AA too.

I have an identical twin. We were separated at birth and raised on different continents.
We coincidentally met each other at an exclusive summer camp in Maine.
We decided to switch places and ultimately reunited our parents.

My parents met, because of my mom's friend... First time they met was outside a theater, and the rest was history. They have been together for almost 25 years!

My parents met at college.. my dad had transferred schools but was still back at the old campus.. somehow someone put my mom's sewing in his trunk and then he had to go return it. Mom doesn't know who it was because her friends went out of their way to tell her they were setting my Dad up with a different girl [kindof an, "and don't get in our way" talk]. They had a few dates and hit it off and had a whirlwind marriage. Good thing too, because not six months later my Mom was battling cancer and wouldn't have been up to anything and needed major help. She came through okay and had 3 kids later and that's all she wrote!

My father cut class and saw my mother sitting outside reading a newspaper. He went up to talk to her, and such began my timeline.

My parents met at a camping where they went very often with their respective family. My mother was 15 and my father was 18. My mom was a nice, cute, intelligent girl who was very popular with boys. My dad was a loud-mouthed and rebellious bad boy wearing a perm in his pitch black hair a a huge beard (Ahhh... the 70's). I swear, when he was in college my dad was a JERK. Somehow, my mom fell in love with him (she probably liked badboys!) and they ended up going out . When my mom got in college, she studied to become a nurse and my dad was studying to become an electrician. People were asking my mom "Why are you going out with that guy?! He's so loud-mouthed!" In the end, my father settled down and became the responsible, caring and passionate dad I have today!

I suppose I could say that my father sort of stole my mother away from another man. Mom grew up in Alameda, CA and my father was in the Navy. They were on a church sponsored trip to Yosemite and Mom, the guy she was with, and my dad ended up in the same car going out. Mom wasn't dating the guy she was with, she only accepted his invite because she wanted to go to Yosemite. Dad got her phone number during the trip and some days later a Navy buddy forced him to call her. And the rest is history.

My dad was a poor southern Chinese guy on vacation in Shanghai. One day he went shopping for groceries and he didn't have enough money and there my mom swooped in to help pay for his things. Yeah, not the most romantic of meetings.
