My grandfather wore fedoras and trilbys. I think the older ones with older wearers are fine.
When he passed away the only thing I wanted was his hat. Glad I was able to
get it.

Like other stuff, a fedora is fine on the right occasions WITH THE RIGHT OUTFIT.

RIGHT OUTFIT, RIGHT OUTFIT, RIGHT OUTFIT.

Not a T-shirt or sweater. No sandals or cheap and ill-fitting jackets with jeans.

I wear stingy brim fedoras, full fedoras, truckers hats, ball caps, and I am going to buy a deadman's tophat once I find one I like and can afford. I tend to wear button down shirts and slacks on my own time. I just like hats, fedoras happen to be the least expensive and most widely available hat other than ball caps and truckers hats. The only opinions I'm worried about when it comes to my appearance are my grandmother (she passed away), my mother, and my wife. All of the above like my hats on me, hell they even bought part of my collection.

As to the odd fellow in the video, he needs some help. The psychological kind. He obviously doesn't get how this works. If haters hate, you keep rolling. Pay no attention. That video made him look ridiculous and destroyed any shot he had at credibility. Were there an "association of folks in hats" that licensed folks to wear hats they would revoke his license over that display. Of course, there has always been a lot of crazy in the world, the internet just affords it a platform for all of us to oggle it.

I don't think I've laughed at anything harder in my life !!! And I'm pretty sure that isn't even a fedora, man.
