If a Zombie Apocalypse were to happen, what would you do?
Posted 8/23/14 , edited 11/27/15
1.) Choose your weapon:
a.) A gun with unlimited bullets
b.) A sword that will never break

2.) They are near your house:
a.) Run outside and get away
b.) Stay inside so zombies don't get you

3.) Your plan is to:
a.) Make friends with people and work together to fight zombies
b.) Work by yourself so no one will slow you down

4.) You will escape your area by:

a.) Plane
b.) Boat

1) A sword that will never break. I have horrible aim when it comes to guns.
2) Run outside and get away.
3) Work by yourself so no one will slow you down.
4) Boat

1. A

2. B (I'm too lazy)

3. B

4. A (although B is wiser, I get sea-sick)

I'll probably just end up taking my life somehow.

1.) Choose your weapon:
b.) A sword that will never break
I'd want to generate as little noise as possible, and I haven't used a gun in years.

2.) They are near your house:
b.) Stay inside so zombies don't get you
I have far too many resources at hand and nearby to walk away: enough canned and dried goods to last for months, 15+ gallons of water, wood burner, rivers, lye soaps, streams, mountain springs, a few lone apple trees, fertile soil, game (rabbit, marmot, fish, deer, elk). I'd be a fool to abandon it, especially considering Pennsylvanian Winters. My wood burner is invaluable.

3.) Your plan is to:
b.) Work by yourself so no one will slow you down
more people = more noise

4.) You will escape your area by:
b.) Boat
Far more practical, particularly considering the number of rivers in Pennsylvania. Also, I'm not a pilot.

1. B - A sword is more practical.
2: A - My house is not the right place to be for a zombie apocalypse.
3: B - Although I wouldn't mind having a (single) partner if they were practical/useful and I wasn't annoyed by them.
4: B - It's much more likely to find a working boat and you wouldn't need somebody trained to use it.

1.) B, My aim is terrible and I'd feel much more secure with a sword. Then I could become like Kirito >:D
2.) A, I wouldn't be able to sit still, I would probably immediately go around town to see if my family is still alive.
3.) A, let's say my family is all gone and so are my friends I would only want one or two people in my group. Big groups are not good, they always get wiped out in games/movies/tv shows.
4.) A, I'd love to pull a warm bodies, that's be great.
*Warm Bodies is a zombie movie for those who don't know

1.) Choose your weapon:
b.) A sword that will never break: It's pretty hard to miss with a sword. I would prefer an unbreakable baseball bat though, there is a significantly smaller chance of it getting stuck in zombies.

2.) They are near your house:
a.) Run outside and get away: Using a sword indoors does not seem very effective.

3.) Your plan is to:
b.) Work by yourself so no one will slow you down: I work better alone anyway

4.) You will escape your area by:
a.) Plane: Zombies can walk underwater, but they can't sprout wings and fly (Or can they?).

P.S. I would also take a stealth approach, I would get in and out of other peoples bases and take their supplies and leave. The same applies with zombie infested areas.

What kind of gun?
How much bullets in a clip till it's time to reload?
What's the reload time?
What's the damage?
How's the accuracy?
The range?
Dual-wielding capability?

Run outside and get away.

Work with people depending on the personality.
Gotta know the formation when fighting.
Who's going to be the field monitor?
Who's going to be the support?
Who's going to be the tank, the healer, the strategist, the sniper?

Gotta use a plane.

1. A gun. Any gun of your choice, but it will have unlimited bullets.

2. Well, if you choose to work with people, you have to plan that with your group..

1.) If I had to choose one, I'd go for the gun, son. Makes it easier to deal with not only zombies but any other assholes who would try to rob me & my group of our supplies and leave us for dead. For swords, you only have one option, and that's getting in close. Getting chased down by a horde would suck too... so I would go with a semi-auto assault rifle, but ideally I would have both a gun and sword. And many varieties of each to choose from lol

2.) Run around outside to clear the area, or at least draw them away from family/friends if for whatever reason they are unable to fight back. My mentality would be if I'm sitting around waiting for help/praying for a miracle, it's only a matter of time before I get hungry, and then when food starts to run out I'd have to run around looking for stuff anyways. And I eat A LOT

3.) My friends and I would be a small, close-knit group and we'd have a fucking heyday and a half (Jobs? What are THOSE?!). We would have contests to see who could score the most kills in a day, or who could find the best equipment, or who could learn how to drive a tank first when we find one... which inevitably would turn into, "you could totally pick up chicks in a tank." And bonus points would be given if you could actually accomplish this mission. Yes, mission.

4.) Neither my friends nor I know how to fly any planes, forget commercial jetliners, I'm talking about even the little-ass four-seaters (which is all we'd need, btw) so we'd have to go with a boat. All we'd need is some gas, and from Chicagoland we'd have three other states to choose from to make our getaway.

My friends and I entertain the idea of zomb-pacalypse often enough to the point that we've come up with some sort of "plan." Hence the long answers. lol

1. A sword. Shots fired by a gun will only attract zombies.

2. Stay inside, and defend the house. Barricade the Windows with heavy stuff like beds and furniture. I got a fence in the backyard I can use to see whats happening.

3. I'd probably solo. Easier to move around and hide.

4. Boat. Stockpile on can goods and water and fishing supplies and make for the sea. I'd anchor my boat a ways away from the shore and swim back to the mainland if I needed some stuff. Flying emplies landing somewhere and gathering fuel, too much of a hassle to both land the plan and take off.

I love close range

2.) They are near your house:

I'd fight and run.

Need to make some friends so it's not boring in this world.

4.) You will escape your area by:

b.) Boat
I can go fishing

1. B. Swords don't need reloading and make no noise.

2. B. Stay inside. Take all the supplies I need upstairs, then destroy the staircase. Wait it out as long as supplies allow, then head out to gather more.

3. Neither. I'd try and contact friends and family and suggest they do the same as I, and to attempt to meet up at later date. If they don't show, assume they're dead.

4. Neither, no experience at either. Bike most likely.

You all need to read the Zombie Survival Guide. Most of you would be dead within the first stages of an outbreak.

1. As much as I like swords.....seriously? The gun is the obvious choice here. Anyone who has even the slightest idea what it's like to wield a sword in combat would prefer a safer way to dispatch an enemy. It's not that a sword is a bad weapon, it's that the great range advantage of a gun is too great to give up. One zombie scratch and you're done, it's too risky. Any type of gun more advanced than a musket would probably outperform a sword in this scenario.

2. Stay inside. They won't be able to surround me and it would be easier to pick off a column of zombies moving uphill from one direction than a bunch coming for you from all around.

3. Work with people. Not a large group, maybe 5 people at most. This allows you to take turns sleeping and watching for for advancing ghouls.

4. Boat. Even if zombies can walk underwater, they can't swim and they'll be greatly slowed. You're essentially unreachable on a boat unless you drop the anchor. But zombies lack the coordination to climb well so you can just replace the anchor chain with a much thinner braided steel line to make it even less likely they will be able to climb up to you.
