I've been through a depressing state and got... pretty fucked up at a young age despite having nice people around. Welp, that one doesn't make some sense but it's a pretty long story and dwelling on it more in these days makes me really wanna puke at how bad I was.

Thank you for reminding me! I was a Rastafarian last summer. I watched "Marley" and began growing my white boy hair out, and began telling people I loved Jah and Jah is love. It was kind of fun. And yeah the homophobia is actually what led me away.

I wouldn't say that I 'go through' phases as I never actually come out of them.
Instead I collect them and layer them up to create a personality.

Age 0:
I was born.
Gained the 'Socially awkward' phase.

Age 6:
Got my first games console; a Sega Master System MK-I.
Gained the 'Gamer' phase.

Age 7:
Due to moving house I was transferred from a regular primary school to a christian one. After someone FINALLY explained to me what a 'God' was (Up till this this point I thought it was the teacher's imaginary friend) I dismissed all things religious and officially gained the 'atheist' phase.

Age 8:
Got my first Nintendo games console; a Nintendo 64.
Gained the 'Nintendo fanboy' phase.

Age 12:
Saw my first episode of Dragon Ball Z.
Gained the 'Otaku' phase.

Age 15:
3rd year of high school. Many of my friends in the year above had left for university.
Gained the 'Quiet loner' phase.

Those are all the main ones I think.

I just wish I knew when I picked up the 'Irrational hatred of mannequins' phase...

i Haven't been through a phase tbh. Just always been the type that enjoys quiet time. Not very social at school, prefer to be left alone unless you're a close friend. Go home everyday and have myself a blast on the internet with anime, video games, and occasionally a LOTR marathon.

Yep....the good life

I never really had a specific phase throughout my life. Sometimes I would almost get into one, but I always came back to my senses before I actually started it. To name an example, I almost began a rebellious phase, but then I looked at myself and thought it was immature and decided to keep calm and polite thereafter.

Throughout pretty much my entire life, I've been a gamer and that phase is still going on, though I don't play much anymore at all. That's because I can't though and I still really want to so that phase is still going on strong. I've also always been kinda shy, very much unsociable. My grades never slipped either. And I've never been religious at any point in my life. When I was in like 2nd grade I thought I believed in God but questioned myself a lot. But I never was actually a religious person.

When I was in like 1st or 2nd grade I started listening to rap. Mom gave me 2 Tupac albums and other stuff lol. I stayed here until like 7th grade probably, though I did start listening to other stuff along with way.

For about 2 maybe 3 years, I put in serious time on my PS3. I got over 40 days of gameplay on BF3, plus how much time I sat in the menus just talking, not playing BF3. Could probably add 10-20 days in at least. Probably put in upwards to 70 days of gameplay on video games in those 2 ish years. I also stopped listening to music, for no real reason though.

I quit playing BF3 last year, got a job over the summer. Joined the cross country team as well when school started back, and then started weightlifting once that ended. Everybody told me I looked like a Holocaust survivor, and I did really, so I did something about it. I've put on like 25ish pounds of muscle since then. Never had nearly enough equipment to even try to lift seriously though. I still don't have a squat rack or enough weight to go heavy. I did what I could though, lotta front squats, and now I feel a lot better.

My anime phase started this year in like May. Since then I've watched a lot, like a lot of anime.

A lot of my phases involve anime.... like my only watching dubbed anime phase, only watch shojo phase, only watch ecchi phase (i was intrigued, fan service was new to me XD) and my weeaboo phase (why did no one yell at me for it?). I also had a somewhat depressed phase, if you can even call it a phase. I'm sure there's more to come...

5) goth
6) "i hate everyone around me and im obviously special for liking _____. i'm better than you" phase
7) lying so i can brag phase
8) "special snowflake" phase
9) "party hard" phase
10) "i don't care about my grades or anything at all" phase

right now i'm not really in a phase, i'm kind of growing up and realizing how much not caring about my grades has hurt me and stuff... yeah. i won't have any time to rest this school year.

When I was a teenager I was very religious. I was a devout Christian who wanted to spread the word of god to the heathens until...

A few years later I decided that was all bullshit. Got really involved with computers and learned web design and Photoshop. I studied graphic design in college until...

I dropped out and became a pot head. Spent almost 10 years smoking pot and taking psychedelic drugs. Discovered a lot of music. Played a lot of video games. Accomplished very little until...

I quit most of my bad habits and started traveling. Currently planning a multi-year thru hike across north/south America. That's where I'm at right now.

The only obvious one that lasted for a good while was my FTW (Fuck the World) phase after being forced by my parents to come to America. All other "phases" are minor and only affect my taste in music or shows..
