I'll go until they no longer have what I want.

When conventions no longer make it possible to get guest autographs, that's when I'll stop. Or around AX's current attendance level. 85K is just preposterous. I don't mind waiting in lines for hours to get autographs - I do that at practically every con. But when it becomes a stampede to get those autographs, I draw the line. I shouldn't have to run the risk of injury just to get an autograph.

This year, I attended six conventions and I would have done more had there had been more that had gotten more guests that I had wanted to see. In 2014, I'm looking at eight.

Im 42 and I still go to cons. Granted I have kids now, but I don't go because they dragged me there. It was the other way around, and they have lots of fun. I don't ever think you are too old to go and enjoy a con.

I don't think there's an age I'd stop going to cons. I'm 32 now and have no plans to stop attending cons anytime soon, unless I suddenly lose interest or am physically incapable of going. Even if I decided to start a family someday, my kids will be attending cons alongside me ^_^

Depends, i probably go far less if I start a family. Depends if i find someone who loves it as much as me or more. If anything, i'll probably keep going till they stop doing them or i can physically no longer go.

Age doesn't define when you should stop. I've seen whole families across generations go together, so i can't begin to see why anyone should have to stop going. Except if it means their health, no point making yourself worse or fatal going.

I'll stop going to anime conventions when I'm dead, assuming medical science never finds a way to bring me back.

I see see myself sitting reading manga and help people when their lost and need to find a workshop or video room and sometimes converse.
That is what my mother does shes been going with me to a convention since 2000 in order to get away from humdrum everyday life for a change for three days and she is 72 years old. I do not think people get too old to go to anime conventions. I think its not only that people like anime when their older they just need a change even if its just three days and, what better way than something they like and enjoy.

You'll win for best cosplay, no doubt.

But seriously, when you feel like you can't or don't want to go anymore. I'd suggest taking certain physical limitations into account, for your own sake, but other than that, go for it. If you can still physically manage a con at the age of eighty, it's a good sign!

I'll go to conventions until I no longer want to. I could be like, 58 and still be going happily. Conventions are for everyone to meet people with similar interests and enjoy everything together.

Why is this even a question? If it is fun, legal, and not hurting anyone DO IT.

Don't waste time worrying how people will perceive you because guess what, there is probably some uninformed idjut out there that believes 17 is too old to be going to 'cartoon' conventions.

You do you bruh.

Honestly, I stopped feeling comfortable at around 26-27. I work with teenagers, so I'm comfortable around them. But the anime convention culture can be worrisome as an adult male who works with teens. Not that there is anything wrong with cosplay, but.... perverts are around. If your in the same demographic as a perv, then you might be accused of being on yourself. Most often by parents/people who observe the con than congoers. All it takes is an accusation that something untoward happened, and your job/career is on the line. The accusations happen in absence of actual events more often than you think.

But if I get the chance to go to Otakon, then I am going. Because I'm a giant nerd who actually likes informational panels.
