Hello,
I mainly use Crunchyroll on my PS3/PS4 and the two things that mainly get to me are that
1) I cannot search by genre, only an alphabetical list
2) I am forced to watch with subtitles. The main reason I subscribe to Crunchyroll is to learn Japanese and it's starting to defeat the purpose. Most of the time, the PS3 version just freezes and forces my PS3 to reboot anyway.....

Could you show us some love please?

Genre searching is still available on the website. You could browse from your PC, add an interesting looking show to your Queue, and open up the PS3 app to watch it: /anime

I believe CR staff have said multiple times that their service is designed for entertainment, not education. Subtitle-free playback is only available on the website due to a side-effect of using Flash.

A side-effect of using flash? So youre trying to tell me that making a video player with subtitle support is complicated? I hope not, because every other service i use on PS3 supports it. Standard.

And that's a tedious and not always an available option to find shows for PS3 users, btw.

All the files encoded for PS3 and other devices have the subtitles hardcoded into the video.
