Loyalty & Respect
Unflinching, irrefutable, and exchanged. When they hold you in high regard even if nothing makes you special.

Understanding & Acceptance
For what ever you are and will become, their presence will never lack. No judgments are passed.

Selfless and Generosity
Even if actions are vain, the cost is great, and regardless of burden, they give what little they have.

I heard this from my father : "I found few who would not draw a line of blood and became my brothers and sisters."
No doubts it is what I've found.

same interest, know him/her long enough that we dont need to say anything and we already understand what we want to do at the moment, will give harsh/true advice even tho its not good to hear.wont bother you with petty problem.
i only got 2 guy in my life so far that got all the points above, from 97 till now.
when with them,i dont need to wear my 'social' mask,we can talk,do things together 100% natural.
[sorry for my broken english]

It's funny, for me I have friends and then I have bros or sis (Best Friends) I consider them a bro or sis once we actually do something memorable and then we start talking about our personal life to an extent. I have a hand full of bros/sis just like the equal of a best friend.

A best friend is like a person you marry but so much better(and without sexual feelings lol) you want to marry someone who you love and loves you back, you want to marry someone you completely trust and you enjoy every second with him/her. Also, a best friend is someone you feel 100% comfortable with and you don't have any shame or restrictions when it comes to showing your true-self. A best friend will be there in the good and the bad and he/she will forgive you when there's a fight and understand you. Everything has to be mutual though, if you feel that way towards someone but they don't feel like that then you're not best friends.

For me there is only one best friend, that's why is called "best" because it is above all others.

Having said all that, my mom is my best friend...lol I don't easily trust outsiders.

My best friend is my best friend because we are best friends, it is just natural for us I don't know ~

Like, we have known each other in over ten years now and we still hang out every week even though we don't go in the same school and all those memories <3
And that we are just such a good match on how we act and our personalities so we can be who we truly are.

Just you know, you will feel it when you are so close that it doesn't depends, you Are Best Friends and that is what you are, Best friends.

My Best friend is my Best friend and I am his Best friends, it is just how it is and I can't imagine a life without having him as my best friend, like seriously.

You stay together in Hardships and you argue with eachother but that is life, and you will stick around even after that, you can realise that you have done something wrong/vice verse and still have a special bond connecting you with him/her.

I can't really explain it, it just happens and you will realise it, and really get it how strong your bond is between you.

if he/she is interested in hanging out with me... not many people are interested in talking to me [in real life].

if I feel comfortable being with that person. idk how to explain it. it's like I feel comfortable being around a guy with a bunch of tattoos for example...
I remember at my old job, I had to go to a meeting every Tuesdays with a bunch of doctors... anddd I JUST FELT so uncomfortable... the thoughts running through my head were, "What am doing here? these people are so fake and annoying".

so in essence, I just feel more comfortable around people who aren't too politically correct, and I don't have to watch what i'm saying. I like being able to say whatever I want. it's part of my honest personality. and I dislike people that misconstrue my words as something negative, when I never meant it that way.

______

Oh, and I said this to a CR buddy a few months ago, "Anyone who shows me their asshole side [of their personality], I would consider a true friend"...

When u could talk what's on ur mind and have a lot of things in common with them. U go to each others place, sit on their bed help yourself to what food they got close by. Have a good time with them mostly all the time. Ur friend gets ur jokes u get their. Hitting the shower together.. Well this applies if u live in a dorm ... Otherwise that would be more than friends.

Um, do dogs count? As far as people go, I have no clue. There are those I talk to and occasionally get dragged out of my own house to hang out with, but a best friend? I'll let you know if I ever have one.

That gif again. hahaha

Maybe the doctors you used to go on a meeting every Tuesdays also felt uncomfortable. They just knew better how to mask their uneasiness.
I don't know. Probably the doctors themselves did not know each other really well so they had to set impressions and boundaries.

I don't want to look dumb next to a doctor.
Every time I learn someone studying Psychology or an actual Shrink in profession, I ask them, "can you read my mind?"

Not to mention, if you give me this aura that you're smart, I'm going to ask questions in the scope of your expertise till you crack.
