Just wondering, at the end of the series after Strawhats obviously defeats the Yonkou, the marines(at leas the bad ones, Akainu, Kizaru, Sentomaru, world government etc.,)

and they are that one step away from finding the One Piece treasure. Shanks betrays Luffy so he can take the treasure for himself.

leading to Strawhats vs Red hair pirates. this theory has been around the internet for awhile and some people have done really good research to back up this theory.

so i ask you one piece fans, would this idea be typical to you, or surprising.

and if it did happen, would you ENJOY it or HATE IT.

I think I would enjoy it, it would be kind of typical to me, especially the Usopp/Yasopp connection I would love to see the emotional battle between them.

Yasopp left Usopp all by himself, and never trained Usopp to be a man, just basically abandoned him.

I would love to see them battle, with Usopp showing his father how far he has come, that he learned to be a man all by himself under the strawhat banner.

That could never happen in my opinion. Shanks is the sole reason Luffy decided to become the pirate king, so he would never fight him, even if that would cost him the title.
And there is no way that Shanks character can develop into someone that would betray Luffy i think

Also, the fact that Luffy is the reason Shanks lost an arm, should be enough for him not to fight him no matter what happens. It would simply go against everything Luffy stands for.

But assuming that something in the remaining infinite amount of chapters left would change this situation, then Luffy vs Shanks would be the very best conclusion of the series for me. ^^

(I even doubt One piece is something you can touch or steal)

I think Shanks wouldn't betray him. He should already know where One Piece is I think because he was in Roger's crew. Shanks vs Luffy would be an enjoyable fight but I don't see it happening because other than the Captains and the Snipers the matchups don't make sense tbh. Obviously if it happens it would be Ben Beckman vs Zoro because they're first mates but that just seems so unlikely. If you look at a crew v crew fight likely to happen like Blackbeard, you'll notice there's a good fight for pretty much everyone so Red Hair Pirates vs Straw Hats seems highly unlikely.

Shanks and Buggy were apart of Whitebeard's crew from what I remember.

To answer OPs question, I think Shanks will die to Blackbeard because for some reason I doubt they will fight because I don't see how Shanks would turn "heel" and Luffy wanting to kill him/stop him.

Shanks would have to kill someone on his crew, maybe his Grandpa in order for Luffy to actually fight Shanks. I don't think Luffy would fight Shanks if Shanks just started attacking him.
