I read an article earlier today on Gamer Headlines that the PSO2 lost a significant amount of revenue in the last quarter and that SEGA has not listed it for Pax Prime.

It's looking rather grim for a PSO2 NA/EU release.

I don't know anything about a NA release, but I don't have any problem playing on the JP servers. Since everything is client-side, lag isn't really an issue.

Since the game is already years old now at this point, I have lost all hope on this game coming to the US. ;_; As painful as it is to admit that...

Thankfully I can still play on the JP servers. It's such a damned shame that the Phantasy Star series didn't get the respect and exposure in the US that it so truly deserves.

Didn't expect to see Phantasy Star players here. Been too long and not enough said about PSO2 for it to still have a chance for NA/EU release. Even if it did, it would be empty here, too many players gave up and won't even bother to play and then the majority that do play, will probably stay with the JP servers.
And btw, there was talk of a group working on a private server for PSU. It was pretty recent too, just in case you want to look it up.

There's been talk about creating a Phantasy Star Universe private server for a long time now, actually. From what I've heard (I could be wrong), PSU's mechanics or coding makes it difficult to run on private servers. For some reason it's not as easy to work with as PSO is. Again, I could be wrong.

Did you hear anything about Phantasy Star Nova? I read somewhere that, that was supposed to be released in the U.S., but I don't know anything else about it.

I have to admit I haven't heard anything about it. To be fair, I don't have a PS Vita and don't really follow the handheld gaming market very closely.

Aww I didn't even know it was for PS Vita. I don't like things like that anymore, just the pc games and consoles.

I gave up on PSO2 long ago. Not saying anything new about a game thats been done for years . And been fully translated for a long time. Does not help at all. I will however never buy another Sega product ever again. They think they can treat us like that. Then they do not deserve the cash and respect. Not like I will be missing much I quitted caring about sonic after the Dreamcast days.

Even if they released it on the NA/EU, the game is already long past its prime. The graphics of many other MMOs run rings around it and it just looks antiquated, like a mid 2005 PC game.

I thought SEGA's intentions were to never release to the "horrible westerners"
a ton of bans and ip restrictions were definitely towards the western players.
