I like it, but I think CR might get some sh*t for it since they're located in San Fransisco, California and by now everyone knows California is in a drought and conserve water blah blah blah. I'm guessing flushing the toilet uses more water. To not get sh*t for it I would use beach water.

When it gets too popular it gets haters, its like a weird ass hipster effect or something. "ugh it's too mainstream"

I think it's pretty fun, I mean what's so bad about donating and throwing a bucket of ice water on your head?

Conserving water?

It's like Hollywood movie production asking people to stop damaging the ozone layer while they themselves use tons of explosives on their movies, besides cg effects.

Wasting water is one of the common arguments that haters make and California is their prime example to use to validate their argument.

You're a SoCal resident, right?

Is it true that Californians act like rockstars?
Into yoga?
Surfing?

Visit California

I live in Huntington Beach the self proclaimed surf city, we have a statue of a surfer and gave the key to the city to Kelly Slater.

So yeah lots of surfers and some yoga, even I skate as well.

No rock stars though, but I was neighbors with Mitch Lucker of suicide silence if that counts. Was a really nice guy btw.

Tito Ortiz is not famous in your place? The MMA Huntington Beach Bad Boy and former UFC Light heavy weight champion?

Yeah he is, his name was on the wrestling clubs board at my high school, and I've seen him shopping at albertsons once when there was like a UFC event of some kind (Don't know much about UFC or MMA) but that's about it.

I was nominated to do it, and I ended up never doing it. I just donated said money and called it a day.

Why couldn't it have been a female doing the cold wet t-shirt awareness thing?

Have you been living under a rock for the last couple od weeks?

I must seem ignorant to you because I don't usually talk about the latest trends of attention seeking you tube videos.

No

I dumped water on my sister's head for this and that's about all I'm doing...

If you really want to help people with ALS, donate money or become a doctor and actually help people with ALS. Okay.

I think this really does help though. People do donate money. It's fun way to spread the word.

I think it's amusing. Especially when people go about it creatively like in that video. But I don't have enough connections or friends to get nominated. I don't really care, anyhow. I donated anyway.

If you're going to participate in the ice bucket challenge, please donate money afterwards. I've seen a lot of silly people throwing huge amounts of water over their heads and uploading the videos just for laughs or to get popular. One guy in Belgium was hospitalized for dunking 400 gallons of water on himself. What's the point to that besides wasting water or possibly injuring yourself?

Personally, if I get nominated, I'll just donate money. You have to admit, this challenge has done a great job in raising awareness for ALS.
