Heather Balvaine
Finally at the end of the bridge, Heather looked back to Malcom, her emotionless face pierced him as she pointed to the tree once more, unfazed by the possibilities of what could have happened. And before he could say anything she turned and moved on infront of the shack.

with great caution she knocked on the door slowly, backing up incase it was a trap, or to let the residents open the door and speak. She took a silent deep breath as she waited for the door, her eyes becoming slightly more cheerful so to not frighten the residents.

.
Malcom

Mal was struck by heather glaring at him like he did something wrong, was he supposed to do nothing? he thought. but he hurried back to the tree and pulled out a cartridge and packed it down into the barrel of his musket and pulled the hammer back. the cartridge he loaded was a tracer round, when shot the bullet will leave a colored trail from him to the target. he smirked thinking of all the other different cartridges he has in his satchel.

Their didn't seem to be any immediate response to Heathers knocking and the house stayed eerily quiet.

Heather Balvaine
She stood there in thought for afew moments, from afar it looked more like she was still waiting for something to happen. Perhaps destroying the bridge wasn't the best idea, she thought. But none the less it was done.

Also through thought, she realized this was a meeting point, and that the odds of these merchants actually living here was absurd. She turned facing Malcom in silence, not looking at him as she crossed her arms patiently

. .
Malcom

Mal was a bit confused the merchants should be answering that door, if a falling bridge and a knock didn't get their attention then something was up.Mal heard movement down from where he and Heather came "the towns people must have followed us" Mal shifted uncomfortably but he kept his rifle on the door of the house.

There was a heavy foot steps creaked behind the door then there was silence.a strange battle cry broke the silence from behind the door and a cultist burst the door open raising a tomahawk ,then a shot rang out a bullet with a red trail hit the cultist in the upper chest. The cultist flew back from the blow and landed on his neck with a snap.

Heather Balvaine
Heather approached the cultist slowly, kicking the weapon from its hand and inspecting the face. There was nothing to say they lived in this shack, so it wasn't important at all.

Listening to the approaching members, heather unsheathed her sword and waited, her guard also trained on the door behind her. She didn't make any movement towards Malcom, not even a glance.

Malcom

Mal walked to look through a window next to Heather packing another cartridge "well beautiful we are surrounded with no way out of this house" Mal smiled knowing she might be curious how he did get into the house without getting wet "buuut luckily they dont have anyway of getting here either" he cocked his hammer back and with a cocky smile he said "time to work my magic"

as soon as a dozen cultists charged out of the trees screaming at the top of their lungs mal shot his musket releasing a large bullet that could not have possibly fit in the barrel.after a couple seconds the bullet blew up shooting hundreds of other bullets in the cultist direction ripping them apart. Mal laughed and was some how standing on the other side of the room packing another cartridge"they just aint holy enough" he said shacking his head still laughing and looking out the window.

Heather Balvaine
Heather remained in the doorway, her eyes trained on the cultists with her blank, emotionless eyes. Malcom herd it well, a feint but soft sigh errupting from her. It held some form of humanity, sorrow.

She watched the cultists drop like flys, not even lifting a finger. Her grip on her blade tightened before loosening all of a sudden. A deep breath errupting from her before turning and walking up to Malcom. Heather snatched his rifle and threw it across to the other side of the shack.

By the point, emotion was in her face, anger, and determination, and then, she spoke. Her voice soft but firm as she shouted out an order "Fight like a man, or kill like a dog!" And with that she held up her sword and shield and banged them together "For we are Soldiers, and we are proud!!"

She quickly moved out of the shack and stood guard, waiting for any and all enemy's to approached, her golden blonge hair in the wind

Malcom

Mal was pissed when Heather threw his rifle like it was some kind of stick "nowadays lady!!" he stomped down the room and grabbed his rifle and displayed it to her "soldiers have gunnnsss" Mal said guns with a pretentious attitude treating Heather like she was some kind of uneducated fool. he shook his head and cursed under his breath as he cocked his hammer back and fired out the window, with a several loud thuds dirt rose from the ground like it was hit by large cannon balls. Mal's once cocky and positive attitude turned cold and bitter "these nut jobs dont have honor!" he slammed his rifle butt down and reached for his satchel "no integrity!" he took a cartridge and packed it violently "no humanity!!" he cocked the hammer back and aimed"they are fucking animals!" his anger was punctuated shot of his rifle and lead bullets connected to each other by chains ripped through the cultists like butter.

In Mals blind spot but was easily visible by Heather some cultist swam toward the house with wild faces painted and pierced with evil symbols. their eyes were glued on Heather thinking of ways to defile her flesh.

Heather Balvaine
Regardless of how brash Malcom started to act, Heather took the initiative, darting all around the house, her blade piercing through and through, each time whispering something to then before exiting the dead flesh. Her blank face returned and every time she passed malcom, he could feel her cold glare on his shoulders.

To Malcom, these were nothing. They were savage beasts. But to Heather, with each kill, she prayed for them. Caught them with what she thought was true honor, giving them a warriors death. And with each pass, being reminded how the real monsters are the ones who take that away.

She would not stand for the sins of her enemies, but she prayed for their good dears to be recognized. Keeping her sword tight and shield close she caught with all she could, well aware that it would be over soon.

Malcom

Mal ignored Heather and her crude sense of honor by packing a spread shot seeing that the cultists were getting closer but before he could finish a cultist climbed through the window and swung a club at Mal hitting him square in the head "you mother fu-"Mal shoved his bayonet in the cultists chest, cocked the hammer back and as more cultists began to show their heads he shot the spread shot through the cultist making a bloody mess and cultists with canoes in their heads falling in the murky water.

Some of the cultists began to hack at the houses stilts in spite of the fact that their own men are climbing them.

Heather Balvaine
Heather remained unfazed. It did not seem like a lack of care, more like trust, she knew Malcom would hold his own, otherwise he wouldn't have bothered showing up. But it was a distant trust as for only a brief instant Malcom got a somewhat positive look when he stabbed the enemy, but it was short lived once he blasted out his barrel.

With each swipe and parry her blade got stronger, as did her powerful shield. Her armor wasn't slowing her down, though the beads of sweat were starting to roll down. She held her ground while also, planning ahead of her own partner, was breaking the beams of the room.

"Get to the roof and fire from there. Your worthless on the ground!" She shouted through the screams of the enemy she sliced through. "NOW!"

PUT YOUR CHARACTER IMAGE HERE.
Malcom

Mal rolled his eyes now Mrs"silent rock" was barking orders at him like a bitch from hell "WHATEVER YOU SAY!!" if she wanted to fight them all alone in a narrow room she can be his guest but one thing was for sure, he was not going to be these monster's midnight roast. He loaded his musket and fired another grape shot and he phase shifted onto the roof and began to load a special round.

the cultists continued to cut at the houses stilts and were making fast work, yet more and more began to clime up them with no respect for their own or each others lives.

Heather Balvaine
Now on the roof, Malcom wasn't able to see Heather, but he can certainly hear her. The loud cracking of wood came at an alarming rate, being hit in tactical positions. The first piece to to go was the corners that held up the doorways, guaranteeing that if something wasent done soon, Heather will go down with the house.

And yet she didn't seem worried at all, still breaking and killing as quickly and efficiently as she could. The floor be either was moaning eagerly, ready to give way. The third corner finally give in, the fourth barely hanging on, with groans and cracking.

Breaking the roof, Heather climbed up, a serious yet cooperative look in her face, regardless of how much sweat was dripping off of her. "They plan to collapse the building. When it falls, were jumping." With one pillar remaining, the roof was slanted and easy to jump off of. Her face didn't show it, but she knew that either both of them will make it out alive, or Malcom will see someone he now dislikes drown.

Malcom

Malcom finished loading his musket but didnt cock the hammer back he figured it would come in better use on the ground when they reached it."well then" Malcom slung his musket around his shoulder and clapped his hands together "what are we waiting for?" he began to rock the house back and forth with his own weight and then with a final shift he stomped the roof and the stilts cracked and the house fell into the swamp on its left side 20 ft. from shore and began to slowly sink.

Mal was able to push Heather onto the safe side of the house before he splashed into the swamp water with the cultists

Heather Balvaine
At the time he pushed her, she froze for a moment of shock. But her shock quickly changed to angered heroism, rargardless of armor she swam in. Not too well but swam none the less. She grabbed Malcom through the murkey and desolate water and tugged them both to shore.

Taking the first few moments to herself she ghasped and coughed up the mucky and tar like water from her lungs. The heavy armor and exhaustion heeding much damage on her physic. Next she took mandatory to Malcom, listening to any heart beat and pumping his chest for Oxygen. Throwing his gun to the side she took care of him until she knew he was fine.

By Malcoms wake, everything was quiet again, aside from the feint sound of splashing from the water bellow. Heathers heavy armor was on the ground aside him, along with several pieces of clothes, mainly the bulky kind. Heather walked up the mound, wearing light clothing, drenched in water and stained slightly red. This was the first time Malcom could see her without her armor. She was quite slim and beautiful, but the emotionless face always seemed to express some kind of emotion, even though it shouldn't.
