Malcom

Malcom coughed out murky water and slowly sat up "so much for knowing how to swim" he mused to himself and holding his head where the a cultist got him with a club,i didnt hurt before but it sure as hell hurt now.

Mal rubbed his head and looked around seeing Heather's armor and miscellaneous belongings then his Musket which he grabbed and hoisted himself up with it.as leaned on his musket he saw Heather's beautiful figure pace around the mound he almost for got she was a brat until he saw her emotionless face.if she wasnt so pretentious at the same time he wouldn't mind her at all.

"we got to keep moving" Mal said breaking the silence with a mellow voice, he knew this was not the end of their hell here, those animals will come back for them and Mal and heather cannot go back from where they came or they will be sure to expect another ambush

(i changed the pic becouse the other one was kinda lame lol its so hard to find an animated character with a musket)

Heather Balvaine
Heather looked to Malcom for what seemed to be a long time before her cheeks turned a light pink, knowing fully well that Malcom can see her. She took a deep sigh before breaking her straight face. She looked somewhat worried. Picking her armor up and putting her clothes on she spoke, not necessarily about the mission, but something personal.

"I'll have you know I have nothing against you. By fact, I find it easier for people to hate me, then like me." she tightened her armor and grabbed her sword slowly "Hate me all you want, think as little of me as you wish, but since your here, its my part to protect you." she took her sword out and drained the sheath of water, placing it back in.

Heather stopped as if she was going to say something else but shook her head "it seems I cant remain silent today... Are you injured?"

Malcom

Mal looked at himself and shrugged "im a little bruised up, and my head fells like a horse kicked it" He rolled his eyes and began to lead the way heading north it will be a couple days until they get out of this god forsaken place."you know if you were not so depressing and you turned down your bitch level people actually MIGHT just like you" while Mal was walking he tilted his musket barrel toward the ground and let the water caught inside drip out "damn" he muttered, he wont be able to shoot for a while and he prayed that they wont run into more cultists, there is no telling what he would do if he cant shoot.

Heather Balvaine
"I'm afraid I cant do that. The way I see it, the more people hate me, the more they wont care if I die." she said meekly, her eyes down at Malcoms gun. She didn't want to say anything, but she despised it more then anything. But she shook it off as quickly as possible.

As they walked, Heather for once held her guard down, a somewhat relaxed, tired look on her face. She was looking around the area in wonderment, its nothing youd see every day, that's for sure.

Malcom

Mal laughed at her not looking back to see her relaxed "the more one likes you the more they will fight to keep you alive"Mal remembered his father and the way he fought to keep his young son alive giving him the opportunity to live"their called friends, you know" he raised his arm at the sky "friends!" he found it hard to believe that such a bombshell didnt understand the concept of friendship or even partner ship at that matter.

Mal noticed the sun creeping down and began to pick plants of the ground and out of the mud on the move, to heather the plants he picked up seemed useless and irregular but to Mal these plants in the right mixture will be key in their survival together.

Heather Balvaine
Heather took thought of what he said for a very long time, a grim outlook appearing on her face. In truth she was very expressive when she's not in battle or expected to be a war machine. She figure that she thinks more then anyone, with the lack of voice and comrades.

Heather took note to what Malcom was doing, looking to the falling moonlight, with the murky waters surrounding already cooling with a chilled wind. Heather fallowed Malcoms lead silently, picking up whatever she recognized from his hand. But she refused to even stand behind Malcom, knowing that his gun would be in view.

.
Malcom

when Mal had all that he needed from the wilds he looked for a suitable spot for he and Heather to camp. they couldn't start a fire because that would be a dead give a way, so he found a large rotting tree that was hollowed out through the middle and climbed in.

when he was settled in Mal started to mash some of the plants he had gathered with various tools and bowls.he noticed heather was not in the greatest of moods and decided to keep quiet, whatever he seems to say she has some sort of problem with and he didnt need an argument at this time.

Heather Balvaine
Heather walked in, hunched over with her hand covering her face. She took her shield off and used it as a makeshift door. As she watched Malcom in silence she was still trying to comprihend what he said, since that seems to be all she does. It would take serveral agonisingly long minutes of silence before she spoke up, a bleak and worried tone in her voice

"I'vs been thinking..." She paused, making sure Malcom was listening "About back at the shack... You desserve an explanation as to why I threw your gun." She paused again, looking deep into the fire. "It may not seem like anything important, but the last time I saw a gun, it was aimed at my loved ones. The trigger blasted, and the man didn't even care." She took a deep sigh, trying to hold back her emotions like she usually does. "And what you shouted as you shot... Those were people, fighting for what they believe in. How can you pull the trigger, and think ill of them?"

Malcom

Mal stayed quiet for a moment and pondering a response that made sense and that wont start an argument "those people do indeed fight for what they believe is right" Mal finished a serving of "sloth" a mixture of herbs for the go almost like trail mix and tossed it to Heather "they think selling their soul to the devil and being the unholy's slaves is the right way" Mal grit his teeth remembering how the same type of people wronged him and his family and many others long ago"i will always think illy of them and i dont care if im using a gun or a stick to put them down" he finished his serving and started to chew on it, it has a very bitter taste and a gritty texture but it was the best they got.

as for how he fought was a completely different matter, if he didnt amuse himself by making crude jokes with a cocky matter he would just about loose his mind. it is a complex way of thinking and Mal did not see how he would be able to explain.

Heather Balvaine
She looked at him for awhile before covering her eyes before reverting back to her blank expression. She didn't eat, and her stomach didn't rumble even in the slightest. She opened her small sack and pulled out a book, opening it up to a tab, with a light smile on her face.

"By dawn i'll send a message to HQ. After that we'll go to the next town and take the first flight out. We have to think smart, and that means conserving your kills." she muttered to herself, not focusing if Malcom was listening.

Malcom

Mal finished eating and leaned back tilting his hat over his face "sounds like a plan" he said before he drifted to sleep. he was quite the snorer and seemed to be at ease with his surroundings, this was not the first time he had spent nights out in the wild. when he was trained by his mentor not long after his farms raiding she would tell him to go hunt for the rarest things and if he didnt have them he was not to come back.

Heather Balvaine
Sitting in the dimmly lit darkness, Heather thought long and hard about today and the day, or days to come. The possible outcomes of today would have been horrible, and even if he had not showed, the outcome would have been all the same. For now at least she had come to terms with all the death.

Her blade burned it's fireie red, itching for more to kill, and shield nearly impenetrable even by evils devestating weapons. It was a feeling similar to a curse. To most it's overthought, but to Heather she saw it at a human level. Both sides, good and evil, stand behind curses as a power. Heather was but one example, and another sleeping right across from her.

Frustrated with the snoring, Heather took her shield off the entrance and stepped outside into the cold, damp air. The ground a thick, Brown mud now, and everything smelling of piss and swamp to her. She sat by the entrance, shield up as protection from the weather. And there she sat all night, eyes closed, but not truely asleep

Malcom

the sun peeked over the twisted trees of the marsh land and many wild life began to go about surviving the harsh humidity. Mal threw his hat outside of the fallen log and crawled out with a yawn "ahh a good morning to start our travels" to him this kind of morning was a lucky one the weather was not to humid or hot for the marshlands standards.

Mal ran his hand through his long weathered black hair with a couple feathers and native American beads placed within the thickets of his hair. he yawned again and stretched his arms then taking his musket to lean on as he lit a pipe, one of his favored hobbies.

Heather Balvaine
Heather stood up quickly, her helmet covering her eyes as she rearranged her shield and started to walk. In thought she already knew where to go. Her plan did not waver from her plans of last night.

Kalia

Kalia jumps up from the shadows and looks around at the ground. Even before her presence was made known, the humans around her began to feel their movement slowing-- it was the power of the siren, weakening all nearby humans.

"oooh this place is just reeeking with deliciousness." Kalia says this as she runs her fingers through her rings.
"But Gula is full and ooh Supervia failed me previously.. ooo but I think someone else is hungry."
She rubs one of her rings, smirking.

Suddenly all around Kalia, shadows begin to rise and take the form of weeping children.
Kalia giggles, and as she disappears behind a tree-- a hungry demon comes rampaging towards the children, Malcom and Heather.

"Have fun bitches."
