The music in Angel Beats is really freaking good and then there is the smooth jazz background music from The Big O that was just superb.

personally think gravitation has one of the best anime soundtracks ever.. "gravitation: vocal collection".

The opening song (Super Drive) is just.... one of the best anime openings there is. It never gets included in most people's top 50 lists because this is a Yaoi anime.

My personal fav track from the album is "Minna minna minna"

I agree Angel Beats has some very good music, but I hated the Big O ripping off other music for the show.
Such as Op2 http://youtu.be/XyM5hbbBhRY is a ripoff of U.F.O. opening theme http://youtu.be/5TQUdcYk82U

I guess it doesn't help that I love the show U.F.O. despite it being really, really dated. Since it was to take place in the far futue of 1980!

Taku Iwasaki is a composer who does different variations of the electronic genre and makes them refreshing. Jormungand has a feel of globe-trotting when listening to it. The Irregular at Magic High School gives us a futuristic high-tech world when hearing the intricacies of the music and gives the aura of a spy thriller edge to it during tense scenes.

No mention of Tsuneo Imahori and his excellent compositions for "Trigun" and "Gungrave"? The "Death Note" soundtrack by Yoshihisa Hirano and Hideki Taniuchi is amazing too. Toshihiko Sahashi's music for the 1999 "Hunter X Hunter" anime is pretty great. Some of it is a little corny, but that adds to its charm.

I'm in love with the Shiki OST. Madoka Magica's was really good too.

All things Yuki Kajiura for one. Also Jun Maeda because of Clannad and because of the album Owari no Hoshi no Love Song. Fairy Tail, Spice and Wolf and Shin Sekai Yori also have some of my favourite OSTs

That album I swear. Fantastic songs and tell very interesting stories, but so depressing. Well I suppose it gives it impact, and what's good is good hahaha.

Anyways, while Glasslip does, in all honesty, fall short plot wise, it does have some very nice music to it. The piano compositions are always a pleasure to listen to.
