Played til MoP. Well sadly i gave up on WoW since the MoP's daily grind make it feel more like a job instead of a game. But if my brother is going to play WoW i am considering playing it with him for warlord of draneor.

I played until about 2 months ago. Got tired of the PvP system and repetitive, slow grind for leveling. I only reached 1500-1650 in 2s on my DK, Monk and Mage. System works for some people, but personally, I just don't like seeing who/what class can spam cc the best. I love PvP in games like Shaiya, or PvE games like Phantasy Star Universe/Online. Sadly, I don't know any good ones though. Shaiya went downhill and is now about who can spend the most money to be the best, Phantasy Star just isn't available online anymore unless you're ok with trying the JP servers.

I have several characters on WoW. Unfortunately it has become a bit too much for both myself and my wife to pay for every month, and then feel obligated to spend time playing to justify paying for it.

Since around 2010, we have been mostly playing on a free alternative "private" server called Molten WoW. It's the exact same game, with plenty of players online at all times. It also serves as a sort of WoW time machine given you can play on previous expansion servers such as Wrath of the Lich King and Cataclysm whenever you feel like it.

The downside is many of the dungeons and quests are broken, but you get what you pay for I suppose. Almost all PvP and endgame PvE content works as intended, so there's that. I only really play for PvP anyway. I've got a pretty badass worgen rogue on one of their Cataclysm servers. As for Pandaria, they have a public test realm open but it is going to be wiped of all player data as soon as they work out all the bugs. I'll likely be moving all 6 of my level 85 Cataclysm characters to that work as soon as it's finished though.
