I find that the more anime I watch, the more I am motivated to learn, teach, and try new things.

For example i recently started watching Baby Steps . The dedication and hard work of the main character

towards becoming a professional tennis player inspired me to work hard to achieve my dreams, and also have fun

doing so .

There are countless other examples of various anime that taught me invaluable lessons and inspired some of the

life choices i made today. Is it the same for you or different?

I also love how in the opening of Baby Steps , they motivate you to "Believe in Yourself".

I grew up reading CLAMP's CCS and thats pretty much shaped a good majority of who I am ish xDD

Like I have an obsession with angel wings, I want to be a fashion designer, and i'm sure some of my more favorite characters have rubbed off some of their characteristics onto me in some way or another Q u Q But i'm not entirely sure about that last one hue

CLAMP also introduced me into the world of anime as well as started my desire to draw more than just animals > u <

I can say that Sports Anime has inspired me more than any other anime out there.

The Iwatobi boys helped me to get back into swimming and Yowamushi pedal into cycling.

Ping- pong animation , to relearn ping pong as soon as my hip is healed.

Major is helping to develop my left hand more since I have tremors on my rt hand.

Not sure about motivated or inspired, but I've found several to be really effective personal antidepressants like Naruto and Hikaru no Go. And I did learn how to play riichi mahjong after watching Saki and Akagi if that counts as something.

Yes, I now have no time for anything else.

But in all seriousness, yeah I too marked my drivers license for organ donation after watching Angel Beats. I've seen a lot of inspiring anime over the past few years. For example, Wolf Children made me appreciate my mother, Clannad inspired me to be a good father, even as a kid DBZ taught me the meaning of courage and pride. I think an anime isn't a good story unless it teaches a lesson like that.

Because of Bamboo Blade I want to learn Kendo........just got to find a place near me that teaches it.
Becuase of Prince of Tennis I got into Tennis........though that has since died down( this was back when Prince of Tennis was on Toonami)
Because of anime like Perfect Blue, Serial Experiments Lain, Haibane Renmei, Shiki, and just anime in general but the first four mainly, I'm studying film in college so I can be a director and screen writer

Inasmuch as I like to draw my own anime/manga-style characters, it's definitely been an influence.

Anime has definitely helped my creative side grow. I just need to learn how to focus it and find an effective medium for it.

Anime is possibly my biggest interest in life (music is a close 2nd) and as pathetic as this sounds, it has helped with depressive and suicidal thoughts that I often have. Watching anime is pretty much the only part of life I enjoy, and is often the biggest factor in not acting on those thoughts. Until I can find an actual goal in life worth pursuing, I always have anime that I love to watch.

Anime gets more emotion from me than anything else. It has made me laugh hysterically and cry so much I can't even see.

I think above all else, anime has taught me "grow up, but don't grow old" I know I will continue to have more and more responsibilities as I grow older. I'm 20 years old, have a job, a car, and will be moving out on my own soon. I know as I get older more and more lame depressing life stuff will keep piling up. But with anime I always remember to stay inspired and be different. Life is unbelievably and unbearably dull, but it doesn't have to be. Anime is the biggest factor that prevents life from becoming too dull and meaningless for me.

Then there's the life lessons that many stories and characters have to teach, and those are just too many to list.

Lots of aspects of anime and manga have inspired me personally, some of which are more superficial, such as being inspired to make certain fashion choices (Inaban^^) and others have actually changed my personality and the way I approach life. When I have a really deep connection to a particular anime or character, I tend to emulate them in certain ways, and that in and of itself has changed me as a person.

On a somewhat separate note, when I was in 7th grade, I watched the show Hetalia(which I'm sure you've heard of in some form), and despite the blatant silliness of it all, that show was what inspired me to learn about the field of international relations, and as I am applying for college this fall, that is what I will be selecting as my major

So yeah, it's had a really big impact on me

I bought a bicycle because I watched Overdrive, I watched Asian Drama because of Skip Beat...

I tend to get really influenced, or swayed by anime, especially sports ones -- unless they are super unrealistic..
