I would enjoy the new titles and licenses but I still say no. FUNI is a pretty greedy company and I feel like they'd screw things up.

The anti trust law would say no I, and if in the case that would be possible I would bet that would be CR acquiring Funi. yet those two are private

There's at least two problems with that: The lack of competition and the fact that Funimation doesn't stream anything for people outside of US and Canada.

Of course there's a chance that the Funi properties could then get wider releases but the first problem is still there.

I really don't think that's such a great idea. Reducing competition in the market tends to result in lower quality of service (though mergers are but one way to reduce competition). I'm not even completely sure what impact it would have on pricing. Would a merger result in a single subscription fee which granted access to the premium content of either site, or would they remain separate? Would the prices increase beyond their previous cumulative value, or be roughly comparable to that figure? Would content which is presently freely accessible remain so, or would several things be moved to premium since the competition for site traffic has been reduced?

Seems like a can of worms I'd rather not open until essential questions like those were answered.

I would say no, because right now I can watch Funi shows by getting a Funi subscription and then watch shows that have nothing to do with Funimation on Crunchyroll.. It would really cut down on the shows available to view because obviously Funi isn't interested in a lot of the shows that Crunchy rolls out with (I realize that Funi steals streams from CR from time to time, but the odds of them adopting the whole crunchyroll catalog are pretty low)

I'd want Funimation to take over distribution (cheap releases) and all streams here in a hypothetical combined company. Funimation's website is a mess to navigate through.

What competition? As long as most shows are only licensed to one site there will be no true competition.
