I just quit my job recently, so currently not working - unless you count housework and manual labor rebuilding a gazebo and landscaping...

The reasons why I worked though were to have money to pay bills and to have excess for vacations and extra stuff that I just want, but don't necessarily need. My husband is the main breadwinner you could say, so my money just mainly "helps".
At the moment, our extra money is being saved for a house though - although after the next couple weeks, I am going to start eating into the savings if I haven't found another job yet.

I don't advocate quitting before finding another job. I just got fed up after 8 years for this company and they were treating me like a doormat - it was a major pride issue. If I didn't have my husband's support, I would probably have sucked it up and kept working there for the time being.

I don't understand why all of these union workers have to take a day off to think about why they do what they do, what a sack of shit, one could easily think about work while they're at work, you don't need a day off for that... lazy union workers.
