Akame ga Kill would be pretty bad. Then again if you're a country hick there is a relatively good chance you won't be arbitrarily murdered by people with power who just happen to be bored. Still though, the tricky part is some of the nicer looking people are out of their freaking minds...so yeah would never visit the capital.

Neon Genesis Evangelion because spoilers.

Attack on Titan yeah ah no.

High School of the Dead or any other apocalypse anime in general, whether zombies are involved or not, no thanks. I mean if everyone is a zombie, how do I get new Assassin's Creed games err I mean it would be depressing/terrifying to live in.

Tokyo Ghoul too, chick might try to eat me, and I'm not okay with people trying to eat me, hence not wanting to live in High School of the Dead.

No doubt Attack on Titan would be a terrible anime to live in, but aside from the possibility (probability, even) of a terrible death, is it really all that bad? Sure, there are good odds that the day of your death will be a bit unenjoyable as those things go, but odds are your life will still last years or even decades! And if you're one of the people living in the center area, you might never even see a titan!

Is there no anime where your life would be so bad that you'd welcome death by titan? Though I admit, I'd have to think a bit to come up with one.

I"m sorry, but Attack on Titan would have to be my answer nonetheless. As someone already said, the human race is very nearly extinct in that world, and IMO most of the people that are left are too stupid to live. They are just content to live in a cage that seems to be getting smaller by the day and just wait until their resources run out or they start killing each other for food. Most of them have no desire whatsoever to find a way to live outside the walls. It's like their survival instincts have just disappeared.

All of the above mentioned so far. Why is it that no one has mentioned Higurashi yet? I mean, you're guaranteed to die at least once or be psychologically scarred

Yogi Bear
Because they have to steal to eat *pinic baskets*
Every episode run into the ranger, it is like being in a prison camp lol

Hokuto no Ken
If you are not big and ordained with some special ability, you be slaughtered or placed into slavery;
Also you Have to depend on the survival of the man of 7 stars to save you and your world;
The odds are very low he can save you in time.
Kenshiro's brother can the grim reaper in another way to your survival.

Grave of the fireflies
Because you are basically waiting to die

Dragonball GT
Because Non-Canon problems; You cannot get into king kai's hall of fame with a resume with a missing list of enemies you defeated 555

Street Fighter
Have to keep starting over like OCD, fighting akuma then skip to SFII story line, then reboot...
I would not want to live in this world, because it is like back to the future, one minute Sagat is your friend (yes, SFIIV xD)
or Enemy(SFII anime movie), or a ghost (SFA the anime) lol

Shingeki no kyoujin
Being devoured by gigantic naked humanoid monsters; and jumping around like spider man with no nets; inside a football field is a nightmare. Oh and no malls to shop at here kkk

Kurokami
(actually I loved to live in it at the same time, in contrast my feelings, here is why)
you have two doppelganger of yourself, and if you are the lesser doppelganger, you die...
also the world become rule by supernatural beings from another plane, so if you do not have a contract with one, you are pretty much dead fish in a barrel. +teachers knee you and beat you unconscious>.>

Pokemon
The whole world is advertisement, (in order to make a living you have to sell something Pocket monster related); a pilgrimage to be the very best just to be waiting (in a dark lonely throne) for some young kid with a dream of having his animals be yours. (is it legal to have animals not even of same classes fighting??? O_O). Anyway, maybe poke-sport is how their economy is running lol

Digimon
I do not want to be stuck in Unix, ( multiple user things going on), wait Unix is very safe against viruses right?

Neon Genesis Evangelion.
Stressful, lose mental health, lose friends, and die bad, due to the great creator's change of heart

G Gundam
Who want have a broken arm by being connected with your Gundam's physiology?
also you are sponsored to have this billion zenny Robot made, for like 10 years just to be destroyed in 3 seconds, that is if you not Daimon xD

Finally the worst anime to be in is (for me that is lol) ... (Drum-roll)
Dead Leaves
No comment xD

/troll (me, not you) :)

That sounds so much like reality. Most humans are content to live only on Earth, doing nothing to find a way out of a cage that seems to be getting smaller by the day and wait until their resources run out or they start killing each other for resources. It's like their survival instincts have just disappeared. All it takes is one giant comet or asteroid or a single alien invasion, people! Or even just a crazy new pathogen (or an old one that spreads more effectively).

But in all seriousness, you brought up one of my complaints about the show - the absolute crap technology people came up with in the time between the original set of titan attacks and the new ones that occur in the show.

If someone managed to think up this ingenious idea of building bite-sized living areas for the titans on the outskirts of the cage so they don't eat the whole thing at once when they get the munchies, and actually managed to get anyone to live in those places, they could have come up with something better than cannon that never work worth a damn.

And I'm not talking about Maneuver Gear and swords that are designed to break. Yeah, yeah, Maneuver Gear *is* impressive on its own, but from a combat standpoint? I mean, really, who comes up with a weapon that breaks and a tool that gets you closer to an enemy that wants to *eat* you? Seriously though, we don't have anything approaching Maneuver Gear in this world, yet these guys that can't even make an effective cannon came up with that? I'm just saying... don't want to derail my own thread, but still, I had to say it.

Anyway, trolling aside, I agree with much of what you said about Attack on Titan. The worst part of it was not so much the titans, I think, but the feeling of helplessness and the way people basically just gave up. Kind of runs counter to what one generally expects of humans, to do anything they can to survive, no matter how terrible it is. Obviously not everyone will do so, but it's a definite trait of the race.

Attack on TItan, getting eaten by giants doesn't sound that appealing.
