I think it's a great idea, not only for more content but for more series to come across to a broader audience in places that often don't get certain shows in their country. The Durarara light novel would be amazing to have fully translated.

Meh.

I don't really read LN. The only LN I have is haruhi suzumiya.

If cr translates the LN version of free! Iwatobi sc tho, I would love it... But I think they'll get the ore popular ones

Yes, definitely! I've been wanting more light novels to be translated to English. LNs are the source material for a bunch of mangas and animes. And I'm always for access to more source material. It's why I started reading manga in the first place. I was watching anime got to the end of what was animated and wanted to know what happened next.

I would love it if they could, but that would probably make me have to drop about $100+ per year ( ^_^; )> although I have a few concerns about it should they do offer a light novel service down the line.

I'd definitely like that. A lot of series miss content that's in the light novels. So even if it would only be future ones and more popular ones. It would be a start and there would be nothing to complain about with more content.

However, with all the things they already have (Anime, Manga and a lot of different applications) it should be wise to consider if they have the capacity to do so. Creating such a thing requires investments and people. Those people cannot work on other things that make this a good service. A good example would be the Windows Phone application. It hasn't been updated since 2012. One could argue that there is not enough people using it, but then again. Is providing 'half' the service a good thing? I am not a manga subscriber because there is no application for my Windows Phone nor Windows 8 tablet, so they miss out on money by providing only half a service.

Don't get me wrong. I love the idea of translated light novels. But I do think it shouldn't be done if it's going to take away from other things. People only have so much time in a day and by doing to much, you get too little done.

But hey, that's just me.

I'd say any that aren't picked up by English publishers should be good. After watching spice and wolf I purchased my first light novels and couldn't be happier. Therefore I think it's a good idea, however there should be a way to also support the author through the process as well.

With a crap ton of anime coming out based off light novels, this would make perfect sense

It'd be great. More stuff being found on CR is always something I'll support.
