It's not about the quantity of members, Gnu9. It's about the quality. Unfortunately, I'm here, so I guess that bit of reasoning doesn't hold up very well.

Yes, lettuce aim for fitty in December.

I received The Last Of Us as a Christmas gift last year and I have yet to play it, along the other games I received, including Assassin's Creed and Batman. Perhaps I need to lay off the Humble Bundle purchases and actually spend some time with my PS3.

So.. are there any interesting games that anyone is playing or planning on getting as we draw closer to the holidays? I know in the next few weeks I'll be playing Super Smash Bros 3ds. As for right now I'm playing something that may not be too well known: God Eater Burst.

Oh here's my friend code for my 3ds if anyone is interested: 1263-5949-3512

I want Smash Bros. I want a new 3DS that functions properly to go with it. I was hoping to buy a Wii U in the near future, but I guess I will need to replace my handheld first. I already have games for that, so a new 3DS would make more sense than buying a Wii U when I own nothing for it right now. Sigh, I just wish I knew about the problems many experienced with the original 3DS model before I bought one. The shoulder buttons stopped working properly after six months and, recently, it has developed a new problem: tapping it will now cause it to shut off and reset the date and time, along with the pedometer, and it erases any coins I had saved up.

Hmm I can't say I've experienced any of those problems with my 3DS. That said I primarily use a XL version over the original so that may be why. I heard a rumor that Smash Bros for the Wii U will be out sometime in November or December so that may be an option for you if your 3DS is still not working as intended. Also there may be a bundle option if you do go along the trade in route.

I haven't played much on my Wii as I had intended. I was trying to replay some of the earlier Zelda games now that I'm older. I got through the first third or so of Ocrina of Time but then I had to move and I haven't hooked it up since. I'm still trying to play through the second Assassin's Creed but I borrow my roommates xbox so I don't get much time to play because they are usually using it or the projector it's hooked up to. :/

I was given a PS3, along with a bunch of games for it as Chirstmas gifts last year, and I've barely touched it. One of the games is Assassassasssaasasaaassasasasasasssaass *slaps self* Creed. Co-worker told me the second Ass... ahem, Creed is significantly better, but he also told me not to play it until I actually experience the first game. I don't have roommates of any kind, so my only excuses are laziness and a strong preference for games "over twenty years old!" That's the reason why they bought the system to begin with. I guess all those Steam indie titles I indulge in don't count, because I'm now seen as one of those old people who only enjoys life through nostalgia.

Hmm I can think of quite a few games over 20 years old that are fun. Ah the classics err, I mean...yeah.... Anyways nostalgia isn't bad, I like to play older games every now and again too for the fun refresher.

Yeah I play Bravely Default, I added my friend code a few posts up above. I haven't touched it much since I beat it but it was a great game in my opinion. Forewarning though, chapters 5-8 can be a little...interesting...

I had the same experience so far with Assassin's Creed. I wanted to play a recent release a few years ago and a friend told me I had to start from the beginning. It took me a while to get a around to it but I'm really glad I did because that game is mostly about the story. I'm a huge fan of RPGs and developing story plots. That is pretty much what the (first) game is about. There is no real "loot" and the only real "achievement" is collecting flags and they don't change anything if you don't do it. I ignored them for the most part.

So far the second one has really interesting new aspects such as "historical" data about the characters you meet during the game. One of them is Leonardo Di Vinci. However, they seemed to have added in other aspects too such as the use of money and buying equipment and other meaningless "achievements". I am not a huge fan of those additions as I liked the first game particularly because those aspects were not present. However, the first one was a bit monotonous in the missions and tended feel like the same missions over and over again. So far in the second one, they have done a good job of mixing up the types of "missions" you do.

Anyway, that was a long review of a game you probably aren't too interested in haha. But I understand the nostalgia. I had downloaded an emulator so I could play Pokemon Yellow on my PC a while back. Not to mention I still want to finish Ocrina of Time.
