reddit. All I need is cats. /r/worldnews has some good stories usually. But pretty much everything you see on the internet has passed through reddit first.

BBC News and The Times.

BBC is for TV, phone and on my laptop, whereas The Times is only the physical newspaper.

I like Flipboard too, nice grouping of both major and minor sources, plus it has lots of good design stuff ^_^

I go to a number of different websites / news sources. CNN, Reuters, Discovery News, Wall Street Journal, The Economist, BBC, and Fortune Magazine.

Only a fool gets their information from one source as you're likely only getting one portion of the story, like my dad who only watches Fox News. This has caused a lot of disagreements between him and I.

Also, I do not get my news from indie news services over the internet. I realize they're the hip way to get info that caters to the rebels of society, but they're incredibly biased and filled to the brim with unsubstantiated opinion and conspiracies (4chan, zeitgeist, etc.)

google news. it links news sites from around the globe. imo different views are better than getting news from a single source.

My tumblog. It isn't as bad as it sounds, since I subscribe to roughly five tumblogs (UC Research, It's Okay to be Smart, and IFLS being the ones I specifically remember), all of whihc dealing with science news. I also listen to podcasts, like Science Friday and Startalk radio, which again, is science-related.

I don't read much about the outside world otherwise. It bores me.
