Ep 1

I was fine with the CG. Robot on human sex though...that's some next level shit right there

Seriously though, this was a pretty entertaining first watch, Karen is a badass.

Episode 1:

While I'll agree that the CG was a bit jarring at first, it didn't really take too long to adjust to it. It did give the show a look fairly similar to cel-shaded video games with anime-style cut scenes, like the Tales series or Asura's Wrath. It also seemed to make the action sequences much more fluid; it a more typically animated series, it would have been more traditionally drawn human characters fighting against 3D-rendered robots, so, in that respect anyway, I think the CG helped.

As far as the story goes...well, it's an *extremely* cliched set-up for a series; I don't think anyone is going to argue that point. That said, it was reasonably effective in giving us the main character's motivations, though I'm sure more flash backs will explain exactly how she became so bad ass.

Overall, a pretty good, if not exactly deep, action series, and the length was just about right. At least for now, I think I'll stick with it and see where it goes; the one concern I have is that the show is really reliant on good action scenes, and if budget/time limit their ability to do that well, I don't know how much else the series really has. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt for now though.

Weird episode but I like the themes so far. A lot has happened already and we learn more about Karen's past. I think it'll be a matter of time before we learn even more about her.

Action was a bit distracting with the CGI though. Also, it looks like Karen might face a bit of trouble soon again with more than just robots to worry about.

I'm starting to think they used rotoscoping (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rotoscoping) which would explain the odd animation for humans.

Maybe I play too many video games and am just used to it, but the CGI didn't give me any issues at all -- I thought the art looked pretty dang good actually ^_^ Great level of detail, smooth and fluid motions, and (other than the bland and oddly subdued crowd in the street market shootout scene) all of the character faces and animations were expressive and nicely done in general.

The story tho... well, not every show starts out with a strong story in episode 1, so I'll give it a couple of episodes to develop. It looks like it has the potential to be an interesting story, tho the emphasis will prolly primarily be the action... overall, I'm hoping to get some nice entertainment from this one =D

Not sure about this one. Cell shading isn't my favorite CG style and whenever she got shot at just seemed off to me. I didn't get the feeling that she was dodging as much as the robots' aims just suck. The story so far hasn't drawn me in much except for the big bad robot. I think he might be Seek.
I'm also not sure why robots keep attacking her out of the blue. There's just something off about her just walking around grocery shopping, getting jumped by killer robots, and acting like it's a normal part of shopping.

I'll probably watch some more to see if it gets anymore interesting.

At first, i had to get used to the CG but i guess it wasn't too bad since it reminded me of video games.

They jumped right into the action and all, but it wasn't too bad. Pretty short though.

Average, average. Upside, the CG def did not add to lack of enjoyment.

Side note: Is it bad that I am really REALLY curious in trying out that Robot "action" ?

It felt generic, to be honest. Maybe later episodes will give more of a reason to watch beyond robot boobs.

Robot "action" isn't a new concept, the idea has been around for a while...lol

Anyways I was worried about the CG at first but it ended up being part of the allure for me. The jerkiness of the animation made it a refreshing change of pace. I personally thought the story is okay and the action is good but as was mentioned previously, there's just something off about being jumped by robots in a market and everyone acting like it was no big deal. lol
