I don't think I've ever been locked in my room, but once I was locked outside my house so I had to get in through the window.

Was locked in a freezer by jackass co-workers back in the day. I just took a break and after about 5 minutes when I wasn't beating on the door or yelling they got worried and opened it.

Only once when I went into a supply closet at school. The door closed behind me and I couldn't open it. I was banging on the door for about 5 minutes until a teacher came along and opened it.

I've been locked out of my house, but that was pretty much them kicking me out. First time happened when I was 6-7 years old, the second time I was around 10 years old. All I ever did was walk around town until they were looking for me and found me, first time I was with my aunts and uncles, second time with my parents.

Hahaha does this bring back some memories. Was playing yugioh with my cousins a few years back and we were doing the whole shadow realm thing where the loser would get locked into my aunt's very small and dark storeroom for a minute. Not so much accidental locking but same principle and a lot more fun than it sounds.

can't say that I have. I always have a multi-tool on me and most doors in my house have that little hole in case that happens. I just use the screwdriver and turn it.

I wasn't locked in a room, I was actually locked out for a really stupid reason.

It was my brothers birthday so we had people over, one of which was my little cousin. He was really annoying because whenever he visits, he goes to my room and messes around with my stuff. so during the party when he was outside of my room, I locked my door and took the keys in case he would try to look for him. After a while I got bored in my room and left doing one of the biggest mistakes ever by closing the door to my room with the keys still in there.

When I went back to my room and noticed it was locked, I talked to my dad . Me, my family and some of the party guests tried to unlock my door. we tried for hours and ended up removing my window to open the door.

And all that happened because I didn't wan't someone to play in my room.

Ahahaha.... yes.
I was watching my brother (who's only 2) and we were watching Frozen, He was on my iPod which I didn't know.
Turns out he was playing Slender, I heard him scream a bit and I look over and I see 2 eyes staring at me in the screen.
SCARIEST THING EVER.
I never played Slender I just downloaded it and never played it cause' I was to scared (lol).
I was in my room and my brother was asleep and I was in there for like 3 hours it was horrible.
I eventually deleted it and I feel much better....

Yes. When I was a kid I was so behind with my math homework my mom locked me into my room and said she would only let me out when I finished. That sucked. Did homework all day. ON a SATURDAY

Been locked in a freezer for a like a minute or so before. The handle was broken and it closed on me before I could hold out a leg to keep it open. I just kicked it really hard like a coworker told me he did. They had to come fix it after that, so it worked out for the best.

Yes. I was locked in the room to "hide" from a tornado.. Kinda stupid because if it hit the house we would all get the rough of it..

I was at a huge party once... woke up the next day and used the outside bathroom... it was an outhouse... I was desperate!

Anyway.... turns out the lock for the door.... is on the outside... of the door. If you do not know this, and close the door too hard..... it will lock you in.

I spent 30 minutes calling for help timidly inside a weird outhouse.... needless to say I am never going to a large party EVER again.

My story's quite similar to OP's

My door currently has no knob. When it fell off on the inside side, the other side had stayed intact. This meant if you closed it, you could only open it from the outside. I brought a friend over for the first time, and they didn't know this. They closed the door, and a rather embarrassing situation resulted in the remaining knob being yanked off. Surprisingly, it solved the problem.

EDIT: Pic so you don't have to worry your pretty little imagination. It's been like this for at least 5 years.
