if you feel like you both feel you were meant to be then you were lol

meant to be doesnt necessarily mean "the one" just a relationship that made you both happy and taught you something could be a relationship that was meant to be

you can have more than one "the ones" too

If you associate the story of Adam and Eve. Eve was made from Adam. Meaning they we're technically ONE. I do believe they're is your 'Adam or Eve'. The problem lays with how many people are on the planet.. You have a 1:3.5billion(7 billion people on the planet) chance to meet you're Adam or Eve.

Totally agree that there is no such thing as "the one" or "soul mates", but for a different reason.

I think there are plenty of people that could potentially be a good fit or even become a great fit once you give it time and effort. So the idea of "the one" is a myth...

It's not magic- The relationship between my wife and I got better and better over the years because we both worked to maintain and better our relationship.

Adam and Eve was pretty much the exception to the rule. Nowadays a man and woman has to uphold their sacred promise to become one. Too bad too many people don't put a lot of weight on that promise (as in just looking at it as even a temporary contract that could go away at any time)

Could be completely true.. It's frowned at; but don't we frown at gay and lesbian lovers?

An arranged marriage is technically a case of people being "meant for one another", so it's not impossible.

Subjectively speaking, however, it can be possible for people to form so strong an emotional bond that they can't imagine life without one another. If that's to be called "meant for one another" then I'm fine with the label.

I think that there is someone for everyone however I believe that it is your responsibility to go out and find that person or else they may walk right past you.

I don't believe there is such a thing. There are a lot of people who would work well with each other, it isn't that two people are specifically meant to be with each other - there are a lot of possibilities. The person I'm dating right now and I work really well together, so it feels awesome and like we were 'meant for each other', but that's not the only person I could feel this way with in the world. I suppose this is why I feel I can be picky and do well with breakups. =P

No doubt. The problem is finding that person.

I believe in love at first sight, but you might never find someone who's EXACTLY like you.

i feel like "meant for one another" is a set of mind. there have been relationships i've been in where its like " i could take or leave you" followed by multiple "i love you more than ive ever loved anything" .
