I've always CONSIDERED getting SOMETHING done...I've just yet to come up with both something I'd like to keep on Me forever, and also the place on My Body where I'd get it done. Since I'm in the Medical Field, I definitely couldn't have anything showing, although I HAVE seen some Physicians with Tattoos and they wear those 'sleeves' on their Arms, so it IS done in My Profession, but I'm also simply lacking enough initiative to actually go through with the process. Not that I'm afraid of it, simply that I have VERY LITTLE amounts of free time these Days. So that also counts AGAINST Me getting it done...

I have 4 total and wouldn't hesitate to get more if I had the cash.

I wouldn't mind getting one that's meaningful, but I'm horrified of needles so I probably never will. lol

Gotta love those 4-5 hour tat sessions!!!!!

Nice. I was thinking of Huginn and Muninn on my shoulders, but I'm already planning a full sleeve on one of my arms that will cover my shoulder and some of my chest.

that would be super cool you should definitely do it. what are you planning on doing for your sleeve?

I want a small tattoo of a portrait of Christina Aguilera on my heart. (not the heart itself, just the flesh that covers the heart area).

I am enchanted by her beauty... SHE IS SO BEAUTIFUL, WORDS cannot describe.

If they have some meaning then they are pretty awesome. But getting something on your skin, that will be there forever, that has no meaning seems stupid to me. But I am not against them. My bf has a few and I plan on getting some at some stage as well.

An inugami wrapping around my arm, with a traditional Japanese background.

That is me in all my fat glory with my tattoo. It's a symbol for the phoenix, used to be a necklace I had that I got from a friend a long time ago, I got it in memory of him when he passed away.

Other plans for tattoo's include a Fairy Tail guild emblem tattoo probably on my chest. As well as a blue and silver Celtic Knot tattoo which would probably be on my other arm on the shoulder.

I have mixed feelings about tattoos, I don't really like them in general and I'm fairly confident I'd never get any but I'm not entirely opposed to them and they do look good on some people. I think my main issues are the permanence and the tendency for them to change over time, although I suppose it is getting easier to have them added and removed.

I tend to think that people shouldn't needlessly change themselves and I used to feel that would apply to tattoos as well but these days I think that people should be able to choose their appearance if possible since it's not so much about changing yourself as showing who you really are. That said, I still think people shouldn't rush into things and should really consider before making any changes.

I definitely think that people should think carefully about what they want for a tattoo if they're getting one as well, it seems that too many people just get standard things to look cool but end up looking... well, standard. If you're going to paint something directly onto your body it should probably say something about you personally. I think the real difficulty is that most tattoos would require explanation, although if it's a symbol from something you're a fan of then it'll make sense to other fans and it won't really matter if others don't recognise it.
