In my opinion, without a doubt Youtube. Youtube is the biggest attention marketing website on the Internet. There are people on youtube with millions of subscribers. And there are vloggers (basically people who post video blogs) of their life. They post every minute aspect of their lives on youtube to show to their thousands and, in some cases, millions of fans. I used to attention marketer on Youtube. I used to make Youtube videos. And I had several thousand subscribers, so I used to be an attention marketer on Youtube. So I know from personal experience that Youtube, without a doubt, is the biggest attention marketing website on the Internet.

People like RayWilliamJohnson and TheAmazingAtheist have thousands and, if not, millions of fans. These youtube celebrities oftentimes suffer from a massive level of unwarranted self-importance. They think they are much better than other people because they are much popular than everyone else. Well they are just as pathetic and mediocre as any average joe on Youtube. They are just normal people who are just very skilled at attention marketing.

Then there is Facebook. Facebook is also for attention marketing. People try to show every moment of their meaningless and pathetic lives to their friends on Facebook. Facebook is less of an attention marketing website than Youtube, in my opinion, because you can only have 5000 friends on Facebook, whereas you can have millions of subscribers on Youtube.

Then there is DeviantArt. Also for attention marketers, but unlike Youtube and Facebook, people, who are popular on DeviantArt, actually deserve the attention they receive. The popular people on Deviant Art actually produce high-quality artwork, so they deserve the attention that they receive.

On the other hand, many youtube celebrities produce horrible content. Their content isn't any better than the content of non-popular people on Youtube, so the only reason they are popular is because they are good at attention marketing. Many popular channels on Youtube produce horrendously horrible content, and the only reason they are popular is because they are good at attention marketing. These people are masters of attention marketing, but they otherwise produce horrible content. A good example of a popular channel that produces horrible content is MeganLeeHearts. That girl produces the most asinine and retarded videos imaginable, and yet she is very popular because she is a MASTER at attention marketing.

Other than Youtube, Facebook and Deviant Art, can you think of any other sites that are prominent for their attention marketing?

I don't really care, you shouldn't either.

Why bother with things that don't even matter?

Same shit to be honest.

In all honesty, as a content maker myself with photography and videography, I do envy the girth that those guys have. I don't care for the E-FAME of it all. I want the potentiality of getting big ticket clients and the possible revenue from it; those guys for sure got some attention of scouts and analysis. As much as I disdain the social media aspect of business, it is all too necessary to use it if you're going to be competing for profit and higher end customers. It's such a brilliant tactic that doesn't really cost too much. Although I don't like these kind of people on the internetz, I do salute their gaining power.

Also, I say just ignore these guys. I don't know any of them if you can take some solace in that. "LAWL"

1. lol youtube

2. Not liking someones content != it's shit content. Entertainment is a commodity. You might not like Nike's shoes, but that doesn't mean they're shitty shoes.

3. It doesn't matter.

It is more like anyone with half a brain will find certain things fucking annoying. I find RayWilliamJohnson fucking annoying, and that's all I gotta say.

This.

And that's all the contribution I'll make to this thread. Most of the internet is people trying to get attention.
