This.

And that's all the contribution I'll make to this thread. Most of the internet is people trying to get attention.

Getting attention is one thing, but producing shitty content to get attention is a whole different thing. The fact that shitty content is so popular on Youtube is just a testament to how stupid our culture is.

1. lol youtube

2. Not liking someones content != it's shit content. Entertainment is a commodity. You might not like Nike's shoes, but that doesn't mean they're shitty shoes.

3. It doesn't matter.

It is more like anyone with half a brain will find certain things fucking annoying. I find RayWilliamJohnson fucking annoying, and that's all I gotta say.

Why you think he is annoying? Just curious

All RayWilliamJohnson does is take videos that are already funny and add lame and insipid commentary to the funny videos. Any talentless hack could do that.

Crunchyroll could be in the list.

We even have this:

Rate the Avatar

Some people deserves the attention they're getting in CR, especially if you just won an awesome contest.
Or user(s) got promoted as new CR moderators.

I'll agree Youtube fame is a hell of a thing. While it IS subjective, there are plenty of people who produce stuff which can seem somewhat mediocre and gain a lot of views and subscribers, and then there are people pouring a ton of effort into quality stuff and getting zero attention. Though there are still those who deserve the attention they get.

Deserve the attention they get is a subjective term although there are popular channels that produce worthwhile content. Similarly there are popular channels that produce really lousy content though.

I agree. And I did say at the beginning it was subjective, I wasn't claiming otherwise :p

Those famous youtubers know how to play the game.
When their materials are going stale, the youtubers just collaborate with one another.
Like nigahiga and smosh.
