SHOULD I START AT THE BEGINNING OF THE SERIES AND NEVER CATCH UP OR SHOULD I START CAUGHT UP AND JUST WATCH FROM THERE?!

Sorry for the caps. Hello, I am Zachary, and I wanna start watching Naruto. Naruto Shippuden to be exact, but there's been this question racking my mind, should I start with the latest episode and skip the others and watch over time whilst keeping up? Or should I watch from the very beginning and not watch ahead as the episodes come out? This may seem very stupid but I really wanna watch Naruto without it being "too far ahead of me" if that makes any sense.

Unless you intend to only watch 1 episode a week or less if you can catch up eventually.

Personally, I don't like watching anything out of order. I don't think I would know what was going on unless I started from the beginning.

What's this about it being "too far ahead"? That's a really bad reason. Naruto has a continuous plot separated by arcs, the only thing different in Shippuden is that the timeline has moved 3 years forward. The main characters, enemies, the main plot is all the same. I don't see how you would get enjoyment from skipping most of the series that was meant for watching the main character grow and setting up what happens later in Shippuden just to watch what's happening now. No doubt would cut your enjoyment.
It wouldn't even take you that long to catch up, especially if you skipped fillers. Focus on enjoying and not catching up. You won't be able to enjoy the series if your main focus is not being too far away from where it's currently at and catching up.

Start from Naruto and watch all the episodes but skip the last 100 or so fillers. Then you can watch Naruto shippuden...you can skip the fillers of you want and watch them later like I did. I originally watched like the first 40 episodes of shippuden before Naruto and believe me you will be confused and do not want to do that...
