So apparently there are two OVA for this series and I never knew about them til the news article just now. =_= Anyone watched them? Anyone heard of them them? Anyone read the manga?

Description of the manga:

Hori is your average teenage girl... she has a side she wants no one else to ever find about. Then there's her classmate Miyamura, your generic glasses-wearing boy in school and a totally different person outside. When the two meet unexpectedly, they discover each others' secrets and develop an unexpected friendship.

It's a fairly popular manga, really cute and sometimes funny.

First one debuted awhile ago and I've seen the 2nd one this year. It's apparently based off of this manga:

I like the original version better, but this one isn't so bad. It's kinda funny but I started reading "Horimiya" when it first showed up on the scanlating sites, but always referred to it as the spin-off name.

Maybe we will get lucky and Horimiya will get an anime (hopefully after the series finishes).

To be clear, these OVAs are based on the original version. The manga was originally a web-manga by HERO. The Horimiya manga, with story by HERO and art by Hagiwara Daisuke, came later.

I would love for Horimiya, with its associated art, to get an anime.

The original web-manga has more emphasis on comedy and less on romance. The Horimiya manga is a wonderful romance manga that is also quite funny. But it doesn't hit the comedy at the expense of the romance. (If I remember correctly, the web-manga is also a 4-koma...)

I remember watching the OVA's. This series is great. Needs a proper anime adaptation instead of OVA's, in my opinion.

I am sooooo with you on that! I totally love the art in Horimiya! I really would like it to be made into an anime series. It is one of my favorite currently running manga.
