**Welcome to CRDates

I'm only 20 and I've been on some dating sites before, and the only saving grace is usually the profiles, where you're given free reign to write whatever you want about yourself.

This game is you do that. Pretend this thread is a humongous "dating site" I've titled CRDates. In reality, this would fail horribly but this is make believe. Write about yourself as you would on EHarmony or whatever they use nowadays, and the person under you will decide whether they would go on a date with or if they wouldn't.

Be as serious as you want. Or not

"Here's mine"

20, M, NYC
Big city guy who loves the concrete jungle.
Educated, funny, omg random type of guy (I think some people would actually add this sadly....)
Ideal type is cutesy girly girl with a spunky flair, who wouldn't mind the occasional filthy joke
I speak multiple languages, and am currently learning Korean...by myself
I love to teach people, and am only a few years away from a masters degree, so I must be pretty smart....
Music is a big thing for me!

I am crazy, charming, and definitely looking for a waifu so let me wife you. Get it.

I am not desperate.

Plz respond.

Not but seriously, I'm a cool guy looking for cool people.

Peace.

I tried to not parody. I really did. Tried hard. I would never actually write this. Or would I?

sorry, you're too old.... and i'm not 2D anyway

16/F/Canada

5'6" and slender. highschool junior year. i have pale skin, blue eyes, medium length curly black hair and glasses
interests: traveling/adventure, photography, anime, manga, music, gaming, and studying criminals
fav food: anything pasta

i'm pretty mellow and laid-back. i can be really straightforward at times.. i spend most of my time daydreaming. i'm very adventurous and i like to try new things everyday. i'm inspired by a lot of things and i like to be as creative as possible and dream the biggest dreams possible. i'm a pretty romantic person, but not too cheesey or clingy. i plan to design games when i'm older.

my ideal guy/girl is taller than me, sweet, funny, and adventurous. she/he has to be ready at all times for a spur of the moment adventure to another city or the forest to do anything. driving down to the lake at 3am, climbing a building to look at the stars, spur of the moment cliff jumping with friends.. i can't date someone who can't have fun.

Hell yeah. I love 17 year old boys . Plus we're the same height, but I'll stop dating you if you're not done growing (that sounds dirty/pervy). We have to be the same height.

29/F/Tokyo III

Slender, blonde, seemingly tall(?). I'm super into computers, a bit socially awkward, and am eskimo sisters with my mother (lulz who isn't? AMIRITE?!). My fashion sense is very 90s . I'm just looking for a strong independent man who isn't afraid to start the apocalypse for his lover! <3 *swoooooonnnn* <3

Used this for a personal ad back in the late '80's when I lived in NW Arkansas area and word usage limit was 50 words or less:

Articulate, bachelor, conversant, degreed, erudite, flexible, gentle, housebroken, idiosyncratic, jovial, kind, likable, mellow, (kinda) normal, open, positive, (not) quaint or rustic, single, tall (6' 3"), unique, vibrant, warm, x-uberant, young for (insert 2-digit actual age here), zany. May touch your soul.

I recall it took me 2 weeks to come up with the right set up re word selection. Met some nice individuals as well as a few walking wounded back then. Almost meet my wife using this ad. Almost. The lady intended dumped me for another. I moved on 1 year later back to Yankee land (Mizzou).

All I can add is good luck on your search for that special person. Over time I had tried various dating venues: newspaper personal ads (back when newspapers were relevant), dating services (avoid if you can, as most are a gyp), friend referral (never a good way to go especially as you age), eventually computer back in 2005.

Tried dating in college (1965-1970) with minimal success. Most ladies could tell instantly I was not marriage material back then. I started a serious search when I quit OTR 18-wheeler trucking the 2nd time around when I was in my early '30's. I spent most of my '20's OTR as an Owner-Operator Contract trucker as only got home 4 times a year while running all 48 states plus a few Canadian provinces. (This is where the C- college students go when they have zero connections or lackluster inter-relationship skills). Of the ladies that took any amount of time back then to know me the recurring theme was never being there for them (I was always away, OTR 24/7, and never home). Trucking is/was a great relationship killer. I watched this vocation murder 70% of the marriages re the drivers I cared to know; hence, I learned not to avail myself to anyone because there was no point.

Reinvented myself a few times by going back to college and retraining into a field more relevant and fulfilling. Didn't date at all 2nd time through college account no time left between serious studying and work (Everyone I met was already "taken"...LOL). Got a white collar job in the late '80's as a CAD drafter working in the private sector. This is where I tried to ease back into a social setting. Oh, brother, what was I thinking? If there was a social faux pas to be committed I did it. Quite the learning curve: dating, meeting people.

I won't bore you with the rest of it. Long story short: I bought a computer in mid-August, 2005. Joined E-Harmony early-September, 2005 and prepaid for 1 year because looking back over my life and its mistakes re dating I "knew" what to expect and figured it would take that long. I met my wife mid-September, 2005. Tied the knot for the first time late July, 2006. No regrets but my Life's been upside down ever since.
