I'm not really into romance anime but years ago, a friend of mine introduced this shoujo manga and I was like... "Is there an anime of this?" and luckily I got a plus live action of it aside form the anime itself. It's Bokura Ga Ita.

Since then, I haven't really found anything romance anime worth to watch because you know I'm more eager to watch any updates from battle mangas.

Now, if you excuse me and spare me a minute to list some of your favorites and worthwhile romance anime that I could watch, that would be awesome.

Thanks in advance

Romeo X Juliet is one of the most underrated anime ever. Most people would be turned off by it because it's Romeo and Juliet, but it's not. It's basically the worlds Shakespeare crafted taken to the next dimension and evolved to a point of bring unrecognizable. This is one of a few select anime I've rewatched, it's arguably better than Shakespeare's original plot and character wise, and the fact that it took creative liberties to evolve the romance, the action, the animation, and the music so that each elements lies in sync with each other allows for the piece to convey a symphony of emotions that allows the audience to immerse themselves into this show and get invested in a great story.

Also, the dub should be watched. The sub's fine, don't get me wrong. In the English dub, though, they like to mix in some old Shakespearean English in occasionally, but not to where it doesn't make sense; it's a stylistic choice that was an interesting and pleasant touch, especially when they quote famous Shakespearean lines or speak poetically. It gave the show some more believably regarding time period (even if it's not taking place in "our world") and they have some quality English voice actors in there.

If I wasn't so busy with school, I'd have the urge to rewatch it myself

I cannot believe that nobody has yet listed "A bridge to the Starry Skies". That was by far my favourite romance/harem anime. It even kicks all other harem's to the curb since the protagonist actually picks a girl.

I highly recommend "Emma: A Victorian Romance;" particularly if you like characters who are not the usual high school/middle school students or otome-based romances. The leading characters are all adults. Its beautifully animated and the story itself is very bittersweet as it shows the separation of class in the Victorian era. I cried when I first read the manga and again when I saw the anime.

I personally enjoy the "akward" romance. the kind where they like each other but are too shy to reveal their feelings. some of my personal favorites are:

Eureka Seven

Toradora
Clannad
Nisekoi
nagi no asu kara
beyond the boundary
