What if something happened to her? Maybe she got in an accident, robbed, kidnapped. Have you called her about it yet to make sure she's ok? Maybe you should do that first before complaining to the internet about being stood up.

I already did, and was just ignored as expected. It's something that happens all too often.

Maybe I focused too much on how upset I was a fresh wound when I haven't dated in almost 3 years. This kind of experience hasn't been limited to romantic or sexual relationships though. I've had friends whom I was genuinely close to, or at least I thought I was, whom just fell off the face of the earth. It would start by always having a reason not to make plans, to not responding to any messages or calls at all. It's pretty hurtful because I always give people second chances and the benefit of the doubt. Meh.

I should have picked up on the most obvious red flag last night though when she remarked on my phones wallpaper of Revy and Eda, how I had "anime girls" as my background. I should have laughed my ass off and walked away right at that instead of brushing it off. Haha.

I spoke to her briefly yesterday morning way before this went up to the seemingly expected brief and concise responses one gets in these kind of situations.

As for worst case scenario like that, I don't jump to conclusions like that almost ever.

I've never been in this situation but I really hate when people do this.

Wtf, it's not like you guys are 14 anymore. If the other person doesn't want to come or there's a change in plans, the least they can do is TELL you about it. It's not that hard now that there is text messaging.

Well, flaky people are not good people anyways. They tend to be dramatic, and only do things if they want something from you.

THAT'S WHAT I'VE BEEN SAYING!

Yep. Especially because people are so much likely to choose to fade into the background here. It's not like other places where the chances of bumping into them again are high enough that you can consider certain bad things happening as a high enough possibility. it's an overall much higher chance of the former.

It's whatever though. Spared me the trouble of investing my time in something that might've led to a harder struggle down the line.

My point exactly.
And facebook.
And other social networking media.
That I was not so mysteriously removed from when I got home last night.
