Every other episode is playing with English subs but episode 24 is in Spanish.

Same issue for me on both iPhone and iPad. Mahouka is airing with either Portuguese or Spanish subtitles (seems to switch back and forth whenever I reload the episode).

It is the same on every device and will be the same every time a new episode comes out. Because each device needs a separate encoding for each language/resolution combination, they don't all finish at once. Often english and hd lag behind the other languages so the wrong language will be displayed right when the episode comes out. This problem is resolved as the other videos finish. Just wait like 30 minutes and it should be fine.

This is two hours after the simulcast :|

Also kind of ridiculous that of all languages to push out last they'd choose English.

I can't say how much time it will take because it is different every time, but it usually doesn't take very long. As for English being last, I don't think it is on purpose, but I don't really know since I am just a mod.

I've read that the other languages may not be subject to the same approval requirements as English. If a translation is running down to the wire because CR didn't get the copy of the episode in a timely manner, that could make all the difference.
