Yes i agree, Killing a criminal is the easy way out for them. If someone killed a close friend or family member of mine i would want them to go through extreem torture!! If they get tortured others will see what the consequences are and wouldnt want to go through with it. Death maybe the criminals are fed up with life and want to die? Prison its not a good place to be, but for some reason its not stopping criminals from doing whatever they do.. So Torture i would think is the best punishment for criminals... something like if he/she has killed someone they would be put in prison for 20years but every once a week they would be tourtured in some form of way decided by the familly of the person that died....

Lol i sound evil or something here but its what i belive criminals deserve! something like you must kill to stop killing but more like you must make the punishment worse then what they have done... Torture = worse than killing...

Although dying is an ultimate fear for these criminals, it's not the right way to make them "pay". Or should I say, not sufficient enough to make them pay.

I'm not against capital punishment because it's inhumane or something, but i am against it because it's not enough punishment for those criminals who deserve death.

Im not really against it for some criminals. but for all kinds of rapists, human trafficers (??? i dont know if there's such a word) who do white slavery, for those rich people who take control of people like a bunch of animals....

They need to suffer more than death. not a slow death... but a lifetime suffering in a torture room, or whatever hardship they deserve.

Somehow im fine with death penalty because... here in the Philippines there's already a very small space for inmates. Really. We dont have much room for too many criminals. Disposing some wouldnt be a bad idea.

no it is not wrong, an eye for an eye....

sure you can always dwell on the fact that people are CAPABLE of change, but then the differentiation between good and bad ultimately becomes hazy as well...

I don't think its wrong at all. All the criminals that get released on paroles basically never learn, they commit the same crimes over and over again. Why release a murderer or a rapist who would cause more deaths in society than when we can just end it all with a syringe? We waste so much money building more precincts because the prisons get filled in really fast nowadays and for what? To release the same felon to commit the same crime again, get sent to jail and force us to put more money in building more prisons? And then people are complaining that they don't want to pay high taxes? Come on now. Lest not forget that we live under a law that states "innocent until proven guilty"; basically saying anything is legal unless you're caught, so why not improvise more severe punishments? It imposes a harsher notion that gets the people's attention to stop committing felony acts, while they still attain the freedom they have.

first of all, if you ask this question in this forum, 90% of answer will be yes. since the majority of the people here are well-educated individuals who doesn't believe in anarchy and rarely commit crimes.
secondly, just feel like pointing out, someone in the "what is God?" thread said God is there to internally condemn the sinners, since mortal punishment shall not amend their heinous crimes. lol
lastly, my own opinion, YES! YES! YES! as long as the word "unforgivable" still in the dictionary, we need to decapitate those scums. Would you forgive a psychopathic murderer who find happiness on the miseries of others? i don't know if you stupid shits can comprehend this or not, but it kinda make sense to remove a bullet from your body. are you going to take pills to ease the pain or are you going to get rid of it?

I think being locked up for life is worse then death (knowing that im guilty and will never get out). So i think its unnecessary. Also states that dont have it dont really have any higher crime rates... so it really doesnt do anything.

Hmm during a war is it right to kill each other for an idealogy? During a vote is the majority always right? If person A has no right to kill person B, what give person C the right to kill person A? Because he perform the act of evil? Is there no other choice to correct person A than to eliminate his existence? If killing someone give rise to primary evil, and judging his wrong doing by killing him give rise to the virtue of justice, then I believe it will only give rise to secondary evil. punishment is a never a method to correct someone, and causing someone to suffer for their wrong doing is not a right I believe another person have...because thats a intrusion of freedom and free will. I believe knowing all is good is an virtue in itself, I choose to fix than to destroy.
