Funny, my life revolves around on trying to understand people. Which is why I never would consider "broken" people any less human than I am. Because of that, I think broken people would never want to be pitied and looked down at. They may have suffered through traumatic experiences that may have broken their hearts, to the extent where their pain overwhelms their entire being. Because of that overwhelming pain, they will never see joy and revel in the beauty of this world. It's sad how not everyone can recover from their depression and finally be able to get back on their feet.

Hmm...depends on what you mean by "broken." Like, they can't function in society because of a past trauma? Of course. There are a lot of people like that. I'm not really sure what you're asking here. Seems like a pretty obvious answer. They're not "less human," though. That's an awful thing to say. Trauma doesn't usually turn people into serial killers like on television. I'd say the majority of people who describe themselves as "broken" are overdramatic young people who want to turn social awkwardness into some kind of special snowflake mental disorder. People who actually have a mental disorder often don't even realize it. That's why so many people with depression, PTSD, and anxiety go untreated for so long.

well, when people see someone who they believe is upset they will show signs of sympathy. the "i'm sorry" is more of an "i hope you work this out" or " i hope you find a way to be happy". They might not understand what u r going through but they wish u the best.

But I'm not upset.

"Broken" has many connotations, but I am guessing that you mean in the way of having a mental illness, or being depressed and the like. These are still people though, and should be treated like humans, as it is wrong to consider them any less. "Broken" people just need special attention, and not many people give them what they need. In some cases, treatments or medicine help, but not every aspect of the mind can be healed so easily.

Hmm...I think if something very traumatic happened to someone when they were young enough to remember it they could break. Most serial killers are described as not being able to relate to other people and can't put themselves in the other person's shoes. So yeah, I think some people are just broken. They lose the ability to empathize with other humans and become less human themselves as a result.

I'm just sitting here like, "This could happen to me."

Broken? People are all natural one way, there is a reason why they break.

yeah some people go throughout life everyday suffering without any leeway or advice mainly because they don't know HOW to tell people of their suffering its cruel and harsh and there's no real cure for it sometimes you just gotta smile and let the pain and agony wash over you.....because everyone has something to do and you think no one has time to stop and worry about you..sigh life is harsh and i'm pretty sure you know this but its hard being you cause bad things happen to good people.

I'm always just kinda barely hanging by a thread, and I've really pondered whether I really am broken or not because I refuse to actually let go, hmm.....

How tedious. I find it odd since such feelings of concern wouldn't be evoked in me should the positions be reversed.

I don't think anybody wants to tell their friend, "Listen, I kinda have really bad depression, and I'm actually a completely different person than you know. Can you get me some help?"

I mean, I don't wanna end up talking to a psychiatrist about how to stop myself from thinking. (Have you seen what they do to people with some mental disorders?)
