What do you think of this?

In case you don't know, anti-Semitism in Europe has reached levels not seen since WW2. Europeans say this is because of the massive rise of Islam across the continent, and the severe racism of Islamists towards of Jews. This incident is just another in a string of ever- increasing hate-crime against Jews in recent years.

I'm not sure what you mean by "stereotypical outfits and hairdos" but if you mean the religious clothing and grooming such as the head covering and payos, there isn't a way to know. Sometimes a school uniform is associated with a religion (e.g. Catholic schools each have a different uniform but not all students are Catholic) but that does not serve as an accurate indicator all the time. Europe has historically been anti-Semitic with lots of stereotypes that will be used to divide people whether it is accurate or not.

In the 21st century we count years like this: 2000 minus year and decade, so 2000 - 14 = it's the year 1986.

There's still 41 more years till the next Holocaust.

I don't often get warnings from my internet security but I did when I clicked on your link. I didn't even get as far as the article so I can't comment on it.

The site having "Israel Nation" in the link makes it sound a little biased. I suspect propaganda or some other kind of needless hate-mongering. At worst we're probably talking about one racist shopkeeper right? That's bad and all but it's hardly standard in Europe. Europe does have that whole "convention on human rights" thing for anyone in the EU, so it's not like racism and such are supported.

If the bit in italics is a quote, it definitely sounds like hate-mongering propaganda since it doesn't seem to be based on real facts. Also, Europe is a pretty big area so it seems a bit unrealistic to say that everywhere in Europe is the same. Similarly, there are a lot of different groups and individuals in Islam so it's unfair to suggest that more Islamic people means more racism against Jews (it's kind of racist really).

Since we're already talking about WW2, it's worth noting that Jewish people were far from the only ones prosecuted and plenty of Jewish people weren't saints. There's that whole business with Israel and Palestine too. Honestly, it just makes me feel sad that so many people do horrible things to each other while acting as though they're somehow justified. Self-delusion is far too common.

Actually, the story was on several other major websites, including Yahoo on the front page. I just happened to find the one that used that site as its basis. And it wasn't propaganda either. Come now, racism might not be supported, but there is plenty of it in Europe nonetheless from and to everyone, but mainly people who are not white.

The rise of anti-Semitism is true, especially in Europe which historically has been anti-Semitic and struggled with this for centuries. There has been plenty of talk of this from all sides, and it is there and very apparent and unfortunately it is most apparent in heavily Islamic areas as well. Is everyone in Europe the same? Of course not. But the fact remains that the problem is still there, and it has oddly enough grown along with the mass immigration of Muslims. (Again, not all of whom hate anyone or Jews since we're on the subject, yet it is odd that the anti-Semitism has risen so sharply especially with the rise of Islam). And whether you like it or not, plenty of Muslims do dislike Jews, and are quick to protest against them. (And vice versa too, though the intensity seems to be more on the Muslim side of things). There have been many recent events like this across Europe (Muslim against Jews far more than the other way around), and many a time the perpetrator in these acts has been a Muslim of any race.

I'm most certainly not saying all Jews are saints - that is absolutely not true in any way, shape or form even in WW2 eras and just like everyone else, many Jews are disgusting individuals. What I am saying though, is that it is absolutely true that anti-Semitism has reached levels not seen since WW2 in Europe as of late. And it is odd, especially when seen next to the rise of Islam.

It is funny: the moment you mention an incident, people always go to "justification" and "self delusion" as if that is the only cause without wanting to really address the actual incident. By bringing in some incidents of the victim in this case which are unrelated to the matter, are they not trying to justify and delusion in turn?
