Some may take it to the extreme but I would just throw a guess 75% of people who watch it are not effected

i don't remember but before anime i would say i was less friendly

It's for an individual investigation as part of something we have in Wales called "Welsh BAQ" I chose a media topic and I'm asking this for opinions on this particular question.

Ignore the trollbait title, it's a really interesting read.

I'd say so. I've seen so much depressing stuff happen in anime that it takes a hell of a lot to remotely make my heart move when something sad happens.

Maybe not changing personality, but it does sometime question some of my own ideology on things. Mostly give me a new perceptive.

I think it depends on what the person thinks of their own personality before they start watching anime. For example, if a person feels as if they would want to change themselves in the personality sense, then I think they can be very susceptible to having their personality changed because of anime. If a person has never really though about what their personality is like or is fine with what it is, then probably.
This is very confusing but hope I got my point across

it can for some people i believe, but for me it doesn't change my full personality, but it does make me look and think on life, things, and other shows differently, i noticed that sense i started watching anime, i have been able to guess big plot twists in american shows, like for example, the season finale of resurrection, i guessed it within several minutes of the show, so i do say it can make things seem different, but it does not affect my personality for my self, but i do think it depends on the person,

Monogatari taught me that making flashy poses and tilting your head makes for great conversation.

Pretty sure it can. Maybe a little to a lot with some people. I have heard many stories of people becoming influenced by anime by wanting to be a character or action from the anime.

It depends. If a person didn't really know who they were before they started watching, then they would be almost completely changed. Although, if they were like me, they would probably be affected only a little bit. Or not at all.

Yes, a ton of anime fans are annoying as hell - quoting characters and squealing all day.

I agree, though I'm like an easygoing anime fan myself. Hardcore anime fans really are annoying for doing what you mentioned.
