Something is seriously wrong with Crunchyroll's streaming. Last night and tonight I have tried playing episodes, and the video stops every 10 seconds. It will then pause for an average of 10 seconds before resuming. I watched the first couple of minutes of several different anime's and the problem was constant.

This problem seems to be happening during prime viewing hours (7pm-1am) so I assume it is some sort of loading problem on Crunchyroll's network. At 10am on a weekday, it streams just fine. Also, streaming to a pc, over the same Internet connection at that time seems to work ok.

I am streaming 720p over high speed, fibre optic (FiOS) internet network. Also, no problem streaming with Netflix or any of my other 60 or so Roku channels.

I'm having the same issue. Trying to watch Crunchyroll during local evening hours is getting rather difficult with all the stopping and starting it does. It's particularly bad on the Roku, but also seems to be happening to some extent on the computer. I also haven't noticed any problems with other web sites on the PC or other Roku channels, so I also believe this is a problem on Crunchyroll's end. And like you, I'm on FiOS and speed tests show I'm getting speeds (down and up), so I'm pretty sure the issue isn't on my end. I hope Crunchyroll will look into this and fix it, because as you noted, trying to watch video during prime time is getting painful.

+1 on this for the last 2 days as well.

I'm using a Samsung TV, and the last 48 hours have been basically unusable.

I'm also on FiOS... 75/75 package. DC Metro area.

I can't get crunchroll to stream in the last 48 hours with the exact same symtoms. Been watching for a solid month with fantastic performance. I used the VUDU app on my same TV and watched a movie in HDX twice during the same timeframe. It's not me, but now I'm thinking it could be FiOS.

All speedtests/etc are coming it at my normal 85/85 levels through Ookla/speedtest.

This is what's happening to me all the time! No problem streaming anything else on any device in our house and there are no problems with speed so it's very frustrating! I haven't been able to watch my anime on a TV since the new app rolled out!

I had hoped it would have been fixed with the update but I am still having this problem and only with Crunchyroll Roku app!

Same here. I got the updated Roku app, but the problem still exists. I got about 20 seconds of Sabagebu before it started buffering again. After doing this about three times in the first minute, I gave up on the Roku and switched to the PC. There are usually less problems on the PC, so I suspect there could be some issue with the Crunchyroll on the Roku system (other Roku channels I tried recently seemed fine).

Problem is ongoing. It's also being ignored by CR.

I'm experiencing a similar issue. While playing videos, the video will freeze but audio continues to play. I will back out of the video and restart from the last point. It will play smoothly for roughly 20-40 seconds before it does the same thing.

I am Cox internet and I am not experiencing any issue on my other channels with Roku.

I've had the same issue. Load, pause, reload, pause etc. And it's getting worse.

Amazon and Netflix, by the way, play just fine.

Also no problems for me, either.

Roku 3 (4200X)
wired cat-5 connection
My display is set to 1080p, and no overrides via the "secret" bitrate screen (default settings)

30 down, 5 up (total overkill, as you'll see in the graph below, until I have to do Windows updates )
Router set to use Google Public DNS

6 PCs (only 5 on), 2 smart Phones, Kindle Fire HD, other Android tablet, couple iPods, blu-ray connected player, thermostat, Xbox 360, Wii, etc. I counted 27 different possible connected devices at one point (but only 11 connected at the moment), one son having friends over and both sons gaming at the same time.

Here's what my router traffic looks like with all of that while I'm playing CR:

I'm having this same issue. I can watch CR on a computer or my xbox 360 (in a different room and on a smaller TV) without any issues but I constantly have to reload the videos. It's hit or miss too. I can watch some updated shows just fine, then I'll go to watch another and every 30 seconds I'm having to reload the video to make it all of 20-40 seconds before it crashes again. It's becoming increasingly frustrated. One would assume given how long this thread has been posted that there would be some follow up in regards to these two similar issues. I'm not saying a resolution but at least some follow up in the thread would be nice.

I've been having the same issue since the last Interface update. Before I can stream my Crunchyroll on my 3100x roku and never have issues. Then the last update the changed the interface, made streaming excruciating... I can't watch any episodes without it stopping every several seconds or so. Pausing and letting it load for a few minutes, does not seem to help. However, I can stream CR on any other devices (iPad, iPhone, Mac, and PC. Ive been using the Roku for CR when I am at home so I can watch on the big screen, but now I can't. Please address this issue.
