I know at least one of my two older sisters knows that I watch anime, but it doesn't really seem like she watches it herself. I make sure that all of my close friends know I watch anime though, and none of them seem to care or watch anime themselves.

I have an older sister and she enjoys anime as well. She is a big fan of 'One Piece', ' Detective Conan' and 'Hell Girl'. Well, I guess you could say we are both fans of 'Robotech' as well. We both used to watch that on the tele (Lynn Minmei is bitch. We both hate her). Thanks to my sister, the seeds of anime were planted in my heart. She used to let me watch the tele with her. On an episode of 'Liquid Television', 'Running Man' was shown. After that, I was hooked. Thank you Staci, I love you.

I have an older sister who doesn't mind me watching anime, but she herself does not. I think it's because she has some friends who are into anime so she kinda understands me

My older brother and I grew up watching the original Toonami lineup so we always clicked with those shows. He doesn't watch it as much anymore but I did show him Attack on Titan, Black Lagoon, and Space Dandy on the current Toonami and he enjoyed that.

Does it really matter if your little brother likes anime or not? We all have our different tastes and enjoy varying things, and we all don't have to like the same things.

My older brother and I got into anime on our own and bonded because of it. I am much older than my younger siblings and have not see them in years, so I have no clue if, but I hope they do like anime.

Of all of my siblings and step-siblings, I have successfully converted one to the ways of anime!
Well, I have another brother and a sister who occasionally watch if I have it on the TV, but there is only one who really got into it. Took him to AX this year, and he loved it. Safe to say I've got a permanent con partner!

My related older sister only likes Code Geass.

My -younger sister character- in my life only likes Millennium Actress and commented that she, "would have liked 5 Centimeters Per Seconds if I watched it when I was younger."

My older sister never seemed to care when she walked into a room where I was watching anime. Not that I watch ecchi series or something, but yeah. My unrelated little sister just likes movies, so I showed her my favorites and she was okay with it even if they were anime.

One of my younger brothers who is 12 likes anime, probably because I did. He likes One Piece and I believe he is currently going through that violence+ecchi phase. My youngest brother seems to hate everything, but he's 8 so who cares.

Hello Crunchyroll people, this post is for those who have brothers and/or sisters (whether older or younger). If you are an only child I don't mind your comments and are therefore welcome as well. I have a younger brother who doesn't care for anime and that makes me feel kinda sad knowing that I didn't raise him right. I won't go into specifics til I've warmed up to y'all, but I want to know if your siblings are down with anime or not. Just general stuff about the topic, say whatever is on your mind.

I am the oldest of 8. My siblings each have different tastes/opinions on things. I know I have influenced many of them - examples include: Sister (29) who likes Star Wars, Weird Al; Sister (19) who loves Buffy, Angel (I introduced her), and anime; Sisters (13, 11) who like Buffy (introduced through my 19 yr old sister). Some things don't rub off on your siblings, some things do. Doesn't mean you did anything wrong, just serves as a reminder that we are all unique individuals with our own ideas, values, etc.

My sister has kids, she doesn't watch anime she just always watches kid friendly stuff like My Little Pony or Dora the Explorer... she doesn't even let them watch Spongebob cos she thinks it's inappropriate. My two brothers, one of them only watches Family Guy, South Park, that sorta thing... but my youngest brother is just as much of an otaku as I. We talk about anime quite a bit, although he likes action a lot more than my staples of harem/comedy/ecchi/romance/moe. So out of four siblings (including myself), two like anime. I guess that's not bad.

I have 4 kids and I don't let them watch Spongebob. They're little (my oldest son is 5) and the show is fresh at times. I'd rather they not pick upon those behaviors. When they're older, I wouldn't mind as much - but when they're little, I want them watching shows which don't have as much behaviors/comments which are rude, fresh, etc. I get it.

Roger that. I was not implying her decision was wrong. Rather, I was merely pointing out the degree of wholesomeness she requires, which generally excludes anime. Nevermind the fact that most anime would also be beyond their comprehension. And I doubt any of them can read fast enough for subs. She seldom watches anything without her kids, as they tend to stay up as late as she. I have recommended that she establish a set bedtime, but she doesn't seem to agree. Spongebob is Illuminati propaganda anyways.
