I still wonder why some people can stream just fine....maybe they aren't daily streamers and aren't testing the waters good enough to realize it?

I've watched lots of shows during both peak and off hours, and have never experienced significant connectivity/performance related issues, certainly not in my current location.

If you have a Roku, you should at least give it a try to see if it performs better than the website or other devices.

Yeah, I don't know. You must have a faster connection than me. I'm 60/10 on my speed and have no losses and still have issues.

I will try out my Roku here very soon; I'm tired of this.

I watch Crunchyroll pretty regularly. The vast majority of each season's simulcasts are in my queue and I try to keep up with them daily. Sometimes I get behind because there are a lot of shows, but I'm usually watching every day or close to it. If there are differences in how CR plays and/or feeds the web site streams, Roku streams, etc., then I guess that's probably the basic explanation for the problems. It just seems strange that some people can have a problem on one device, but not others, while for others the situation could be the opposite. Whatever's going on, I hope CR can figure it out and solve it.

Actually, I'm only rated for 20/2 (TWC), so like I've said before, the pipe going into your house isn't the only factor in determining if you have a good experience with CR's streaming.

I think I've just discovered something that may have solved the stuttering issue on my end. After right clicking on a video - in this case an episode of Free! - I disabled video smoothing and (fingers crossed) it's been playing fine since then. There is a downside in that the video now has aliasing, but it's better than not being able to watch anything.

I'm in the same boat as many of you though in that I'm sure it's not my connection. No issues with videos on other sites, Flash or otherwise.

Okay, let me ask you this then. Do you have problems "at all" w/ CR's streams? How often are you streaming? What resolution are you watching it at? What device are you streaming off of?

I primarily stream through the Xbox 360, so I had those 10-20 second skips. Last night, I was getting the HD indicator to light up after an update, but it's not something I specifically track. If I watch on PC, that's usually in SD, because I'm just checking on something for a discussion.

Once in a while, I experienced occasional buffering, but it was almost exclusively with older catalog titles, and I suspect that was due to the episode not being cached at whichever CDN server I was using, and not a network connectivity/congestion issue.

I've conversed w/ quite a few people on here who have the same problem as me, but primarily stream in 1080P and are on the PC. Your download speed is quite suffice for streaming 1080P; you should try using your PC and stream in 1080 sometime. Test the waters a bit, because everyone who tells me they do not have a problem, they aren't streaming in HD. And I can see their point because I'm having no troubles whatsoever streaming stuff like the old One Piece episodes that only have a 480P resolution and 4:3 ratio. Though I'm not exactly sure if it's even true ED to begin with since we're talking about episodes that came out in 1999...
